Good learners often connect what they need to learn with something interesting. For example, if they need to learn English and they like music or sports,

13、 they can listen to English songs or watch sports programs in English. This way they will not get bored. Practicing and learning from mistakesGood learners think about what they are goodat and what they need to practice more. Remember, “use it or lose it”! Even if you learn something well, you will

18、 He was born to su eed in life. 他生來(lái)注定會(huì)成功。(3) whether or not 意為“是否” whether引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句,不能與if 替換。 e.g. whether she will e or not is still a problem. 她是否會(huì)來(lái)還是個(gè)問(wèn)題。(2) ability 在此處為不可數(shù)名詞,意為“能力”常構(gòu)成短語(yǔ) have the ability to do sth. ( 有能力做某事), 而不用 “have the ability of doing sth” 結(jié)構(gòu)。 e.g. Man has the ability to speak.

22、that person. 請(qǐng)不要把這個(gè)人和那個(gè)人聯(lián)系在一起。(2) need 在此處為及物動(dòng)詞,意為“需要” 其后跟名詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞不定式或動(dòng)詞-ing形式。need作實(shí)義動(dòng)詞時(shí),既可用于肯定句,也可用于否定句和疑問(wèn)句,構(gòu)成否定和疑問(wèn)句時(shí)要借助助動(dòng)詞do/ does/ did.e.g. I need a lot of money now.我現(xiàn)在很需要錢(qián)。e.g. You need to take good care of your mother.你要好好照顧你媽媽。 Good learners think about what they are good at and what they ne

23、ed to practice more. 4Think about 意為“考慮”其后接名詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞-ing形式或賓語(yǔ)從句。 They are thinking about a serious problem. 他們正在考慮一個(gè)嚴(yán)肅的問(wèn)題。 (2) Be good at “擅長(zhǎng)” 同義于 do well in “在某方面做得好” e.g. He is good at English.= he does well in English. Even if you learn something well, you will forget it unless you use it.5(1)Even

24、 if 意為“即使,盡管”,用于引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句,有退一步設(shè)想的意味,同義于“even though” e.g. Ill help you, even if I must stay up the whole night. 即使熬夜一整晚我也要幫助你。forget to do sth. 忘記去做某事forget doing sth. 忘記做過(guò)某事e.g. I forget to turn off the light. 我忘記關(guān)燈了。e.g.I forget turning off the light. 我忘記已經(jīng)關(guān)燈了。(2) forget 后直接跟名詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞不定式或動(dòng)詞-ing形式,但兩

25、者意義完全不同。 (1)look for 意為“尋找” 后跟名詞或代詞作賓語(yǔ)。 e.g. They are looking for the missing child. 他們?cè)趯ふ沂й櫟暮⒆印?6 They also look for ways to review what they have learned. look for: 尋找,強(qiáng)調(diào)尋找的動(dòng)作和過(guò)程,是 有目的的尋找。find: 找到,發(fā)現(xiàn),通常指找到或發(fā)現(xiàn)具體的東西,也可指偶然發(fā)現(xiàn)某物或某種情況,強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)果。find out: 弄清,查明,多指通過(guò)調(diào)查、詢問(wèn)、研究后搞清楚、弄明白,含經(jīng)過(guò)困難、曲折的意味。辨析look for, fin
