“Disgustislikeanalarmmechanism(機制)…andwhatbettertoolforeliminating(消除)disgustingmaterialthantoiletpaper.Ithinkthisishowitbecameaconditionedsymbolofsafety,”hesaid.

Anotheroneofthemostprominentreasonsbehindthistoiletpapertrend,accordingtotheBBC,isthesnowballeffect.Duetoitsprominentcoverage,bothinthenewsandsocialmedia,peoplenaturallyask,“Willtherebeenoughtoiletpaperformyfamilyandme?”Thisinvariably(一成不變地)leadstomorepeoplefollowingthecrowdandbuyingtoiletpaperbecauseoftheirfearofmissingout.
