一、開(kāi)題報(bào)告學(xué)院專業(yè)學(xué)生姓名學(xué)號(hào)指導(dǎo)教師職稱合作導(dǎo)師職稱論文題目AComparativeAnalysisofTwoDifferentChineseVersionsofJaneEyre選題背景和意義BackgroundandsignificanceofthetopicCharlotteBronte'sJaneEyreisaclassicworkinthehistoryofEnglishliterature.Theworkssuccessfullyportrayandshapeavividimageofasmallassetwomanbyusingdialoguedescriptionart.JaneEyreinthestoryhastakenanindependentandenterprisingattitudetowardslove,life,societyandreligion.Shedarestostrivefortheequalstatusoffreedom,andistherepresentativeofwomen'sindependence.InChina,JaneEyrehasmanyversions.TheauthorcomparesanddiscussestheversionsofZhuQingyingandHuangYuanshen.Thetwoversionsarebothwrittenbyfamousscholarsandhaveawideinfluence.Andtheycantrulyconveythestyleoftheoriginalandpreservethestyleoftheoriginal.However,theyhavetheirowncharacteristicsintermsoftranslationmethods,timesandculturalbackgrounds,sotheireffectsandfunctionsarenaturallydifferent.Therefore,theauthorwilltaketwoversionsofJaneEyreasexamplestomakeacomparativestudyofthetranslator'sSubjectivityfromtheperspectiveofadaptationandchoiceintranslation.Thepurposeofthisstudyistounderstandhowthetwotranslatorsplaythemainroleofadaptationandchoiceintheprocessoftranslation.Inaddition,intheprocessofresearch,theauthorhopestoprovideapowerfulhelptothepresentationoftheresearchresults,sothattheresearchismoreconvincingandreasonable.(2)Outline1Introduction1.1Backgroundandsignificanceoftheresearch1.2AboutTaneEyreanditstwoChinesetranslatorsandversions1.3Literaturereview2Theoreticalbasis3Translator'sSubjectivitywithaCaseofTwoChineseVersionsofTaneEyre3.1Translator'sSubjectivityintheProcessofPre-translating3.1.1Translators’AdaptationandSelectionBasedonNeeds3.1.2Translator’sAdaptationandSelectionBasedonCompetence3.2Translator'sSubjectivityintheProcessofTranslating3.2.1TranslationalEco-environmentofTheTwoTranslators3.2.2Translators'AdaptationandSelectiontoTranslationalEco-environment4Conclusion二、國(guó)內(nèi)外研究現(xiàn)狀、發(fā)展動(dòng)態(tài)JaneEyreistherepresentativeworkofthefamousBritishwriterCharlotteBronte,whichisalsoregardedasherautobiographybysomescholars.Itsuccessfullyportraysafemaleimagewhodarestofightagainstcustomandfateandstriveforindependenceandequalsocialstatus.Soitbecameaworld-famousnovel.Sinceitspublicationin1847,JaneEyrehasbeentranslatedintomanyotherlanguages.ItiswidelyreadandconsideredoneofthebestworksinEnglishliterature(Bronte,Charlotte.Eyre,1997).Undertheinfluenceoftheoriginalwork,sincethefirstChineseversionwaspublishedin1936,therehavebeenmorethantenChineseversions,whicharealsoverypopularamongChinesereaders.Amongtheseversions,thethreeversionstranslatedbyZhuQingying,HuangYuanshenandSongZhaolinaremorepopularandhavebeenreprintedmanytimes,becomingthebest-sellingversionsatpresent(DuYing,2010).ZhuQingying'sversionhasbeenreprinted25timesandmorethan3millioncopieshavebeenpublished.Inaddition,theelectronicversionsofthesetranslatedversionscanbefoundontheInternetofGoogleandBaidu,whichshowsthattheseversionsaremorepopulartosomeextent.Therefore,thispaperchoosesthemastheresearchobjects,andinthenextchapters,theyarelabeledasZQYversionandHYSversionrespectively.ZhuQingying,afamousfemaletranslator,isamemberofShanghaiWritersAssociation,TranslationAssociationandPublishingAssociation.HerpositioniseditorofShanghaiTranslationPublishingHouse.ShewasborninWuxi,JiangsuProvincein1936.AftergraduatingfromSt.John'sUniversityinShanghai,sheworkedasaforeignlanguageeditorformanyyears.In1974,shebecameshort-sighted,felldownthestairsandlostaneye.However,inhersparetime,shecontinuestoinsistontranslatingforeignliteraryworksintoChinese.Inhereyes,loveisthedrivingforceofhertranslation(WangMiao,2014).Ms.ZhutranslatedJaneEyreattentively,makinghertranslationabestseller.HerotherfamoustranslationisCharlotteBronte'sautobiography,totalingmorethan2millionwords.ZhuQingying'soriginalworkwastranslatedintoChineseattheendof1970sandwasfirstpublishedbyShanghaiYiwenpublishinghousein1980.InanarticlepublishedintheJournalofDalianUniversity,Ms.ZhouWenwen(2011)saidthattheZQYversionreadsclearlyandsmoothly,conveyingthespiritoftheoriginalwork.HuangYuanshenwasborninXinchangCounty,ZhejiangProvincein1940.HereceivedhighereducationinEastChinaNormalUniversityandtaughtaftergraduation.From1979to1981,hestudiedattheUniversityofSydneyinAustraliaandobtainedamasterofArtsdegree.AfterreturningtoChina,heopenedthefirstAustralianliteraturecourseinEastChinaNormalUniversityin1983andenrolledthefirstAustralianliteraturegraduatestudentin1985.Atpresent,heisthedeputydirectoroftheAustralianInstituteofEastChinaNormalUniversity.Hismainworksinclude:EnglishtextbooksforHigherEducation(Volume5),selectedAustralianliterature,ChineseversionofJaneEyre,selectedEnglishprose,etc.HistranslatedworkswerefirstpublishedbyLinYifupublishinghousein1994,realizingtheintegrationoftheartisticworldofthetranslatedworksandtheliteraryandartisticworld(YuanDongxiang,2012).Throughtheredescriptionofthebackground,thisversionshowsthefirstpersonpsychologyandsuccessfullygraspsthecharacteristicsoftheoriginaldialogue.Histranslationsuccessfullydemonstratestheartisticcharmandaestheticvalueoftheoriginaltext.InanarticleinChinatranslationjournal,JingXingrun(2016)highlypraisedHuangYuanshen'stranslationas"almostperfect",whichisfluentandretainstheflavoroftheoriginal.SinceJaneEyre'spublication,scholarsathomeandabroadhavediscussedthetheme,characterimage,characterpsychologyandsoon.JukiT(2021)thinksthatinJaneEyre,CharlotteBronteshowsthedifferencebetweenthenorthernandsoutherndialects,andincreasestheaestheticvalueofthenovellanguagebydialectstylelanguagevariation.Thisnotonlyhelpstohighlighttheimageofthecharacters,butalsoincreasesthereadabilityofthework,sothatreaderscanhaveadetailedunderstandingofthebackgroundandinformationofthestory,soastodeeplyunderstandthewordsanddeedsofthecharactersinthework.Moreover,CharlotteBronteflexiblyusesthelanguagevariationofregistertocreatethesceneofthenovel,soastomakethecharactersinthenovelmorethree-dimensionalandfull(DMarjan,AhmadS,2012).ZainalAS(2016)thinksthatCharlotteBronte'slanguagestyleisverydistinctive,whichcombinesromanticismandrealism,andexpressesherfeelingstotheextremewithdeepbrushwork.Inthenarrationofthetext,theauthorpaysspecialattentiontothepsychologicaldescriptionofthecharactersandshowstheirthoughtsthroughinnermonologue.Thiscannotonlyreflectthepersonalitycharacteristicsofthecharacters,butalsomaketheworkseasiertostimulatereaderstothink.Therearemanyscholarswhostudythetranslationofthisnovel.Annotationisanindispensablewayfortranslators,andfootnotesaremoreandmorewidelyused.InJaneEyre,thetranslatorusesfootnotestoexplaintheculturalandliteraryinformationintheoriginaltext.Therefore,Wang,X(2017)comparesandanalyzesthefootnotesoftwoChineseversionsofJaneEyre,andconcludesthatthetranslatorusuallyusesannotationintranslation,becausethetargetreadersmaynotbeabletounderstandthediscourseworldintheoriginaltext.TengZhaona(2011)thinksthatCharlotteBronte,theauthorofJaneEyre,isawoman,andtheprotagonistdepictedinthebookisalsoagreatwoman,sothenovelcontainsobviouscharacteristicsoffeminism.Whethertranslatorscanbetterunderstandthesecharacteristicsintheprocessoftranslationandreflecttheauthor'sstylemoretruthfullywillbeatopicworthyofstudy.Femalewritersandtranslatorsathomeandabroadhavetheirownuniqueviewsontranslationtheoryandpractice,thatis,feministtranslationview(JiaWenjuan,2014).Feministtranslationtheoryisanewfield,inwhichthemaintranslationstrategiesaresupplement,footnotesandhijacking.Thesetranslationstrategieshavetheirownadvantages.Femaletranslatorscanbetterunderstandtheessenceoffemalewriters'writingintheprocessoftranslationandcreatemoreaccuratetranslations.XuXiaolin(2016)makesacomparativeanalysisoftwodifferentversionsofJaneEyre,andconcludesthatundertheguidanceoffeministtranslationtheory,femaletranslatorscanmoreaccuratelyunderstandtheintentionandmotivationoffeministwriters,andultimatelybetterexpressthefeministcharacteristicsinthearticle.Thisistheuniqueadvantageoffemaletranslators三、研究的內(nèi)容及可行性分析BasedonthetheoryoftranslationadaptationandselectionproposedbyProfessorHuGengshen,thispapermakesacomparativeanalysisofJaneEyretranslatedbyZhuQingyingandHuangYuanshen.BecauseBaiduandGooglecansearchtherelevantChinesetranslationandoriginale-books,soitisfeasibletostudythistopic.四、論文擬解決的關(guān)鍵問(wèn)題及難點(diǎn)Duetothelackoftranslationexperience,andthelackofknowledgeoftherelevantBritishculture,theremaybealackofunderstandinginthestudyoftheEnglishoriginal.Therefore,theremaybesomedeviationwhencomparingthetwoChineseversions.Thisisanobstacletobeovercomeinthisstudy.五、研究方法與技術(shù)路線1.Researchmethods(1)Literatureresearchmethod:byconsultingtheschoollibrary,collegereferenceroomandotherplaces,andmakingfulluseofChinaJournalNetwork,Wanfangdatabaseandotherelectronicnetworkresources,collectrelevantbooks,journalpapers,dissertations,conferencepapersandotherresearchmaterials.Aftersortingout,analyzingandrefining,thispapersystematicallycombsthetranslationtheoriesandresearchresultsoftheChineseversionofJaneEyreathomeandabroad,andclarifiesthetranslationcharacteristicsoftheChineseversionofJaneEyre.Soastolaythefoundationforthisstudy.(2)Textanalysismethod:in-depthanalysisoftheChineseandEnglishtextsofJaneEyre,tomastersufficientlanguagematerials,in-depthstudyoftherelevanceofdifferenttextsandresearchtopics.Andinthecomparativestudyofthinkingtodrawauthor’sownconclusions.2.Stepsandmeasures1.Topicselection:fromto,collectrelevantinformationofgraduationthesisandselecttopic;2.Submittopicselection:fromto,submittopicselectiontoinstructor;3.Determinetheoutlineofthethesis:fromto,discusstheoutlinewiththeinstructoranddeterminethewritingoutline;4.Openingreply:fromto,completetheopeningreportandreply;5.Firstdraft:fromto,completethefirstdraftandsubmitittotheinstructorforrevision;6.Revision:fromto,revisethefirstdraftaccordingtotheteacher'sopinions.7.Finaldraft:-,submitthepapertotheinstructorforreview;8.Thesisdefense:fromto,participateinthedefenseafterbeingapprovedbytheleadinggroupofgraduationthesisoftheDepartment.六、參考文獻(xiàn)Bronte,Charlotte.Eyre[Z].NewYork:NewAmericanLibrary,adivisionofPenguinGroup.1997.Ju
