andedwhilethequalityishardtoguaranteeincurrenttranslationindustry.Therefore,specialattentionsshallbepaidtothetranslationquality.Infact,thequalityoftranslationbegantobediscussed,assessedandcriticizedassoonasthetranslationactivityhasemergedeversincethousandsofyearsago.Reiss(2000)saidthatthesheerbulkandundeniablesignificanceoftranslationrequiredthatthequalityoftranslationsbeamatterofspecialattention.GuanJiling(2018)Onlyafterthequalityofthetranslationhasbeenjudgedorassessed,atranslationactivityfinished.Thestudyonthequalityoftranslationhasneverbeenanemergingfield,butanindispensablepartoftranslationstudies.However,comparedwithtranslationtheoryandtranslationhistoryresearch,thestudyabouttranslationqualityhasalwaysbeeninalessfavorablepositionandfarfromsatisfactory.1.2PurposeandsignificanceofthethesisThestudyontranslationhasalwaysbeenbeingahottopicfocusedbyboththeacademicresearchersandpractitioners.Withglobalizationadvancing,internationalexchangesareincreasinglyfrequentwhetherineconomy,politicsorculture.ItisChinesetoEnglishtranslationofmaterialsthatservesasabridgebetweenthenationandtherestoftheworld.Appropriatetranslationcontributestoeffectivecommunication,whichinturnpromotesmutualunderstanding.Therefore,ChinesetoEnglishtranslationplaysanindispensableroleinensuringsmoothexchangesandstrengtheningfriendlyrelationship.AstheimprovementofChinascomprehensivenationalstrengthandinternationalstatus,almosteverythinghappenedinChinahasreceivedmuchattentionfromtheinternationalcommunity.WangChensaidToday,asmoreinteractionsbetweenChinaandtherestoftheworld,desiresofotherstounderstandChinagrowstronger,andtheinternationalcommunityismoreeagertolistentothevoiceofChina.Translationservesasasignificantpartofforeignexchangesandcommunications.High-qualitytranslationscanenhancethesoftpowerandpublicizetheachievementsinvariousfieldsofthereformandopeninguptotheworld.TheotherswillhaveadeeperunderstandingonChineseandfriendlyexchangesamongpeoplewillbeexpandedwhileChinawilldevelopitsinternationalinfluence,andsetupandmaintainthegoodimageinternationallysoastocreateasoundcircumstanceofinternationalpublicopinionforourmodernizationconstructions.Withtheeconomicdevelopmentofvariouscountries,thelinksamongcountrieshavebeencontinuouslystrengthened,andthetrendofeconomicintegrationhasbecomemoreobvious.Thefrequentexchangesineconomyandcultureofcountrieshavedriventherapiddevelopmentofinternationalbusiness.Translationplaysanincreasingroleintheinternationaltradeamongenterprisesanditsqualitynotonlyaffectsthebusinesscooperation,butalsoconcernstheriseorfall,profitorlossofthecompany.Appropriatetranslationprovidesapowerfulguaranteeforenterprisestoensurethecompetitivenessintheinternationalmarket,anddirectlyaffectsitsbusinessstatus.Inaddition,thequalityofChinesetoEnglishtranslationhasagreatinfluenceonthedevelopmentofourprofoundtraditionalcultureaccumulatedforthousandsofyears.SincetheentryintotheWTO,Chinahashadnumerousopportunitiesforinternationalcooperationandexchanges.Atthesametime,italsomeansitismoreimperativethanevertogapculturalandlinguisticdifferencestointroduceChinatotherestoftheworld.AccurateandcorrectChinesetoEnglishtranslationcannotonlyhelptargetlanguagepeopleappreciatetraditionalChineseculture,butimprovethespreadofourculturearoundtheworldtoalargeextent.Variousfactorswithdifferentemphasisconstantlyaffectandintervenetheprocessfromthedeterminationoftheoriginaltexttothetranslationproducedintomarkettodifferentextent,whichleadstodifficultiesintheanalysisofselectedfactorsinfluencingthequalityoftranslation.Therefore,toclarifytheinfluencingdegreeofeachfactorguaranteesthetranslationqualityandisanindispensablecomponentinthefieldoftranslationresearch.Thesignificanceofgrayrelationalanalysis(grayrelationalanalysis)onsomeselectedfactorsinfluencingChinesetoEnglishtranslationqualityliesinthestudyisnotwiththemethodofpurelyqualitativedescriptionanymore,butquantifiestheproblemtofindoutlaws,withwhichanalyzesthechangesanddevelopmentofthings.TheresearchofthissubjectwouldbealittlehelpforexploringtheprimaryandsecondaryfactorsinfluencingtheChinesetoEnglishtranslationqualitytoprovidesomeguidanceintranslationteachingandpractice,andtomaketranslationofferabetterservice,whileimprovethepracticalvalueintranslationstudy.Asfarasthetranslatorisconcerned,thisstudycanhelpthemtogiveprioritytothemainfactorsaffectingthequalityoftranslationinpracticesoastoimprovethequalityoftheirtranslationandthetranslationcompetenceofthemselves.Forscholars,thisstudyoffersthetheoreticalbasistoimproveandperfecttheexistingtranslationqualityassessmentmodelsothattheevaluationoftranslationproductionsismorescientificandobjective.Andalso,thetranslationmarketismuchmoredemanding.Inaddition,findingoutthekeyinfluentialfactorsinfluencingChinesetoEnglishtranslationqualitywithquantitativeanalysisprovidesgistforeducationdepartmentanduniversitiestoallocateeducationresourcesanddevelopcurriculuminordertoenhancethequalityoftranslatortraining.由于本文篇幅較長(zhǎng),部分內(nèi)容省略,具體全文見(jiàn)文末附件ACKNOWLEDGEMENTSMysinceregratitudegoesfirstandforemostto
