基于灰色關(guān)聯(lián)理論的漢譯英質(zhì)量影響因素研究,碩士論文Inspiteofthosegratifyingachievementsintranslationindustry,thereisstillalongwaytogotomeetthedemandsofthetimesandsocialdevelopmentintermsofthecurrentsituationandoverallstrengthoftranslation.Besides,theexistingtranslationqualityevaluationmethodsseemtobefairlysubjectiveandarbitrarywithoutbeingguidedbysystematictranslationtheories.Therefore,thestudyontranslationqualityandhowtomeasuretranslationqualityiswaitingtobeimprovedandperfected.ThepurposeofthisthesisistomeasurethegrayrelationalgradeofsomeselectedfactorsinfluencingthequalityofChinesetoEnglishtranslation,soastoprovideatheoreticalguidanceinimprovementoftranslationqualityandtheassessmentmodels.Inaddition,itproposesanewidea,atoolandamethod-grayrelationalanalysistofuturesimilarresearchesinthisfield.Themainideaofthisthesisisasfollows.Firstofall,somequantifiablefactorsthathavemajorimpactonthequalityofChinesetoEnglishtranslationareselectedbytheanalysisonrelatedliterature.ThedatarequestedisextractedthroughWordsmith,MicrosoftandPagaiweb.Then,thetheoryandmethodofgrayrelationalanalysisisintroducedintotheestablishmentoftheanalysismodelonfactorsinfluencingtheChinesetoEnglishtranslationquality,withwhichsortstheinfluentialdegreeofvariousfactorsbyquantitativeanalysis.Comparedwiththegradingstandardsoftranslationinsomenationalexaminationstoexaminewhethertheresultsofthecalculationinthisthesisarereasonableornot,whichwillverifytheaccuracyoftheanalysismodel.Finally,throughthecomprehensiveconsiderationofconclusionsdrawformallqualitativeandquantitativeanalysis,thekeyinfluencingfactorsarefoundout.Attheendofthethesis,correspondingsuggestionsareproposed.Keywords:Grayrelationalanalysis;theQualityofChinesetoEnglishTranslation;InfluentialFactors內(nèi)容摘要固然當(dāng)前我們國(guó)家的翻譯事業(yè)獲得了可喜的成績(jī),但就當(dāng)前翻譯工作的現(xiàn)在狀況及整體實(shí)力而言,與社會(huì)和時(shí)代發(fā)展的要求還有相當(dāng)差距.除此之外,現(xiàn)存的各種翻譯質(zhì)量評(píng)估形式和方式方法雖都有其合理性,但或多或少會(huì)帶有一定的主觀色彩,因而都不同程度地遭到批評(píng).鑒于此,完善翻譯質(zhì)量相關(guān)研究并高效地進(jìn)行翻譯實(shí)踐是特別必要的.本文的研究目的就是通過(guò)對(duì)影響漢譯英翻譯質(zhì)量的相關(guān)因素?cái)?shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行分析,得出各影響因素與翻譯質(zhì)量之間的關(guān)聯(lián)程度,進(jìn)而為譯者在翻譯實(shí)踐中有效提高翻譯質(zhì)量以及完善翻譯質(zhì)量評(píng)估模型提供一定的理論根據(jù).除此之外,也為今后做類似研究提供一種新的思路、工具和方式方法--灰色關(guān)聯(lián)分析.本文的研究思路是在大量閱讀相關(guān)文獻(xiàn)的基礎(chǔ)上,從定性分析和定量分析兩個(gè)方面入手,通過(guò)實(shí)證分析法確定各影響因素與漢譯英翻譯質(zhì)量之間的關(guān)聯(lián)程度大小以及排序的問(wèn)題.首先,通過(guò)文獻(xiàn)分析,找出了一些較為直觀可量化的、影響比擬大的因素信息,并在這里基礎(chǔ)上,通過(guò)Wordsmith、Microsoft以及批改網(wǎng)對(duì)有關(guān)的數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行提取.然后引入了灰色關(guān)聯(lián)分析理論,建立漢譯英翻譯質(zhì)量影響因素分析模型,進(jìn)而將該模型引入到翻譯實(shí)例中,對(duì)有關(guān)影響因素進(jìn)行定量分析,求出關(guān)聯(lián)度大小并進(jìn)行排序.結(jié)合國(guó)家級(jí)考試翻譯部分評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn),分析計(jì)算結(jié)果能否合理,同時(shí)驗(yàn)證該影響因素分析模型的準(zhǔn)確性.最后,通過(guò)對(duì)所有定性、定量分析結(jié)論的綜合考慮,確定影響漢譯英翻譯質(zhì)量的關(guān)鍵因素并有針對(duì)性地提出相應(yīng)的應(yīng)對(duì)策略.本文關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ):灰色關(guān)聯(lián)分析,漢譯英翻譯質(zhì)量,影響因素CONTENTSCHAPTERⅠINTRODUCTION.................................................................................................11.1BackgroundoftheThesis..................................................................................................11.2Purposeandsignificanceofthethesis...............................................................................21.3Methodology,FlowandStructureoftheThesis................................................................31.3.1Researchmethodology................................................................................................31.3.2Researchflow..............................................................................................................41.3.3Structureofthesis.......................................................................................................5CHAPTERⅡLITERATUREREVIEW.....................................................................................72.1LiteratureReviewonTranslationQuality..........................................................................72.2LiteratureReviewonFactorsInfluencingtheQualityofChinesetoEnglishTranslation82.2.1Relatedstudiesabroad................................................................................................82.2.2RelatedstudiesinChina..............................................................................................92.3LiteratureReviewongrayrelationalanalysis.................................................................112.3.1Literatureoftheory...................................................................................................112.3.2Literatureofapplications..........................................................................................122.4Summary..........................................................................................................................15CHAPTERⅢTHEORYOFGRAYSYSTEMANDGRAYRELATIONALANALYSIS.....163.1TheoryofGraySystem....................................................................................................163.1.1ConceptofGray................................ andedwhilethequalityishardtoguaranteeincurrenttranslationindustry.Therefore,specialattentionsshallbepaidtothetranslationquality.Infact,thequalityoftranslationbegantobediscussed,assessedandcriticizedassoonasthetranslationactivityhasemergedeversincethousandsofyearsago.Reiss(2000)saidthatthesheerbulkandundeniablesignificanceoftranslationrequiredthatthequalityoftranslationsbeamatterofspecialattention.GuanJiling(2018)Onlyafterthequalityofthetranslationhasbeenjudgedorassessed,atranslationactivityfinished.Thestudyonthequalityoftranslationhasneverbeenanemergingfield,butanindispensablepartoftranslationstudies.However,comparedwithtranslationtheoryandtranslationhistoryresearch,thestudyabouttranslationqualityhasalwaysbeeninalessfavorablepositionandfarfromsatisfactory.1.2PurposeandsignificanceofthethesisThestudyontranslationhasalwaysbeenbeingahottopicfocusedbyboththeacademicresearchersandpractitioners.Withglobalizationadvancing,internationalexchangesareincreasinglyfrequentwhetherineconomy,politicsorculture.ItisChinesetoEnglishtranslationofmaterialsthatservesasabridgebetweenthenationandtherestoftheworld.Appropriatetranslationcontributestoeffectivecommunication,whichinturnpromotesmutualunderstanding.Therefore,ChinesetoEnglishtranslationplaysanindispensableroleinensuringsmoothexchangesandstrengtheningfriendlyrelationship.AstheimprovementofChinascomprehensivenationalstrengthandinternationalstatus,almosteverythinghappenedinChinahasreceivedmuchattentionfromtheinternationalcommunity.WangChensaidToday,asmoreinteractionsbetweenChinaandtherestoftheworld,desiresofotherstounderstandChinagrowstronger,andtheinternationalcommunityismoreeagertolistentothevoiceofChina.Translationservesasasignificantpartofforeignexchangesandcommunications.High-qualitytranslationscanenhancethesoftpowerandpublicizetheachievementsinvariousfieldsofthereformandopeninguptotheworld.TheotherswillhaveadeeperunderstandingonChineseandfriendlyexchangesamongpeoplewillbeexpandedwhileChinawilldevelopitsinternationalinfluence,andsetupandmaintainthegoodimageinternationallysoastocreateasoundcircumstanceofinternationalpublicopinionforourmodernizationconstructions.Withtheeconomicdevelopmentofvariouscountries,thelinksamongcountrieshavebeencontinuouslystrengthened,andthetrendofeconomicintegrationhasbecomemoreobvious.Thefrequentexchangesineconomyandcultureofcountrieshavedriventherapiddevelopmentofinternationalbusiness.Translationplaysanincreasingroleintheinternationaltradeamongenterprisesanditsqualitynotonlyaffectsthebusinesscooperation,butalsoconcernstheriseorfall,profitorlossofthecompany.Appropriatetranslationprovidesapowerfulguaranteeforenterprisestoensurethecompetitivenessintheinternationalmarket,anddirectlyaffectsitsbusinessstatus.Inaddition,thequalityofChinesetoEnglishtranslationhasagreatinfluenceonthedevelopmentofourprofoundtraditionalcultureaccumulatedforthousandsofyears.SincetheentryintotheWTO,Chinahashadnumerousopportunitiesforinternationalcooperationandexchanges.Atthesametime,italsomeansitismoreimperativethanevertogapculturalandlinguisticdifferencestointroduceChinatotherestoftheworld.AccurateandcorrectChinesetoEnglishtranslationcannotonlyhelptargetlanguagepeopleappreciatetraditionalChineseculture,butimprovethespreadofourculturearoundtheworldtoalargeextent.Variousfactorswithdifferentemphasisconstantlyaffectandintervenetheprocessfromthedeterminationoftheoriginaltexttothetranslationproducedintomarkettodifferentextent,whichleadstodifficultiesintheanalysisofselectedfactorsinfluencingthequalityoftranslation.Therefore,toclarifytheinfluencingdegreeofeachfactorguaranteesthetranslationqualityandisanindispensablecomponentinthefieldoftranslationresearch.Thesignificanceofgrayrelationalanalysis(grayrelationalanalysis)onsomeselectedfactorsinfluencingChinesetoEnglishtranslationqualityliesinthestudyisnotwiththemethodofpurelyqualitativedescriptionanymore,butquantifiestheproblemtofindoutlaws,withwhichanalyzesthechangesanddevelopmentofthings.TheresearchofthissubjectwouldbealittlehelpforexploringtheprimaryandsecondaryfactorsinfluencingtheChinesetoEnglishtranslationqualitytoprovidesomeguidanceintranslationteachingandpractice,andtomaketranslationofferabetterservice,whileimprovethepracticalvalueintranslationstudy.Asfarasthetranslatorisconcerned,thisstudycanhelpthemtogiveprioritytothemainfactorsaffectingthequalityoftranslationinpracticesoastoimprovethequalityoftheirtranslationandthetranslationcompetenceofthemselves.Forscholars,thisstudyoffersthetheoreticalbasistoimproveandperfecttheexistingtranslationqualityassessmentmodelsothattheevaluationoftranslationproductionsismorescientificandobjective.Andalso,thetranslationmarketismuchmoredemanding.Inaddition,findingoutthekeyinfluentialfactorsinfluencingChinesetoEnglishtranslationqualitywithquantitativeanalysisprovidesgistforeducationdepartmentanduniversitiestoallocateeducationresourcesanddevelopcurriculuminordertoenhancethequalityoftranslatortraining.由于本文篇幅較長(zhǎng),部分內(nèi)容省略,具體全文見(jiàn)文末附件ACKNOWLEDGEMENTSMysinceregratitudegoesfirstandforemostto
