Content:

1.Introduction(5minutes)

IntroducethetopicofHalloweenbyshowingpicturesofpumpkinsandHalloweendecorations.AskstudentswhattheyknowaboutHalloweenandwhyitiscelebrated.Explainthatpeopleusuallydressupinscarycostumesandgotrickortreating.Tellthemthattodaywearegoingtoreadastoryaboutapumpkinhouse.

2.Storytelling(15minutes)

Readthestorybook"ThePumpkinHouse"tothestudents.Usepropssuchasapumpkin,abroomstick,andawitchhattomakeitmoreinteractive.Pauseatcertainpointstoaskquestionsandencouragediscussion.

3.Vocabulary(10minutes)

IntroducenewvocabularywordsrelatedtoHalloweensuchastrickortreat,ghost,witch,house,andpumpkin.Useflashcardstohelpstudentsrememberthewords.Practicesayingthewordstogetherandaskstudentstousetheminsentences.
