FestivalsaroundtheworldWarmingUpandReading【設(shè)計(jì)思路】《普通高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(實(shí)驗(yàn))》中指出:“教師要善于教學(xué)實(shí)際的需要,靈活地和有創(chuàng)造性地使用教材,對教材的內(nèi)容、編排順序和教學(xué)方法等方面進(jìn)行適當(dāng)?shù)娜∩峄蛘{(diào)整?!北締卧怨?jié)日為話題,內(nèi)容比較貼近生活,而且學(xué)生們剛剛過完寒假,度過了春節(jié),這個(gè)話題比較容易被學(xué)生接受,根據(jù)這個(gè)特點(diǎn),我把WarmingUp和Reading整合在一起,采取了任務(wù)型教學(xué)的理念。任務(wù)前階段,利用思維導(dǎo)圖,生動(dòng)形象的節(jié)日圖片激活學(xué)生有關(guān)中國傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日的圖式知識,然后學(xué)生從三個(gè)方面,即:時(shí)間;慶祝的內(nèi)容和人們的活動(dòng)來系統(tǒng)認(rèn)識中國傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行發(fā)散性思維,結(jié)合實(shí)際為學(xué)生提供了運(yùn)用語言知識的機(jī)會(huì),并發(fā)展了學(xué)生的閱讀能力。而且,在課文教學(xué)過程中,我把課文知識用大量的圖片展示出來,并結(jié)合對學(xué)生提問來學(xué)習(xí)課文的方式,使學(xué)生積極參與到任務(wù)型教學(xué)活動(dòng)中來,更為直觀深刻地理解課文內(nèi)容。【教材分析】本節(jié)課為人教版模塊三unit1WarmingUp&Reading,F(xiàn)estivalsaroundtheworld.本單元以節(jié)日為話題,介紹古今中外節(jié)日的種類、由來、意義以及人們的活動(dòng)和習(xí)俗,旨在通過本單元的學(xué)習(xí)使學(xué)生不但了解我國的節(jié)日,而且對外國的節(jié)日也有所了解,進(jìn)而拓展社會(huì)文化背景、增加跨國文化知識。Warmingup部分要求學(xué)生以小組形式完成表格填充,意在激活學(xué)生節(jié)日文化方面的圖式知識和重構(gòu)節(jié)日文化,并對傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日文化有深入的認(rèn)識和了解。Reading部分由五篇小短文組成,分別介紹古代節(jié)日的起源、亡靈節(jié)、紀(jì)念名人的節(jié)日、豐收節(jié)、春天的節(jié)日等,使學(xué)生了解各種節(jié)日的由來,及存在的意義。教學(xué)目標(biāo)知識目標(biāo)Getstudentstolearntheusefulnewwords,expressionsandsentencesinthispart:能力目標(biāo)1.Developstudents’readingabilityandletthemlearndifferentreadingskills.2Developstudents’spokenEnglish3.Enablestudentstotalkaboutfestivalsandcelebrations.情感目標(biāo)1.Stimulatestudents’lovefortheirownnationalcultureandcustoms.2.Developstudents’senseofcooperativelearning.【學(xué)情分析】教學(xué)對象為高中一年級學(xué)生,經(jīng)過半年的學(xué)習(xí)他們的閱讀能力比初中階段有了進(jìn)一步的發(fā)展,漸漸已經(jīng)掌握了略讀(scanning)、跳讀(skimming)以及識別關(guān)鍵詞、確定主題句、等一定的閱讀技巧,形成了初步的閱讀策略。本單元“節(jié)日”的話題是學(xué)生感興趣的,通過任務(wù)型課堂活動(dòng)和學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)自主性得到加強(qiáng),不再認(rèn)為英語的課堂學(xué)習(xí)很枯燥,主動(dòng)參與到活動(dòng)中去,成為課堂的主體,同時(shí)也加強(qiáng)了與他人交流合作的能力。給學(xué)生提供一個(gè)了解英語中習(xí)語并運(yùn)用英語語言點(diǎn)的機(jī)會(huì),從而使學(xué)生更好的了解國內(nèi)外傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日以及中西方的文化差異?!痉椒ㄅc手段】1任務(wù)型教學(xué),使學(xué)生練習(xí)生活,引導(dǎo)他們思考身邊的各種接入,以及看課文標(biāo)題、所配圖片預(yù)測閱讀課文包含的內(nèi)容,既引發(fā)學(xué)生的于都興趣,又是對學(xué)生閱讀技巧的培養(yǎng)2通過跳讀(skimming)快速閱讀(fastreading)細(xì)讀(closereading)歸納(summarizing)等閱讀技巧,把握篇章中心內(nèi)容,獲取關(guān)鍵信息,并能針對閱讀內(nèi)容表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn)【教學(xué)過程】教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備1Wordstudy通過這一部分的學(xué)習(xí),幫助學(xué)生們掃清了生詞障礙2在教學(xué)中有效地使用彩色插圖能大大提高學(xué)生對學(xué)習(xí)的興趣。在使用中,要根據(jù)實(shí)際需要做好篩選好要用的圖片,用最少的圖片表達(dá)最多的內(nèi)容。從各種渠道獲取有用的教學(xué)輔助資源,制作好課件3給學(xué)生布置任務(wù),讓學(xué)生去查找與節(jié)日相關(guān)的圖片、文字或聲音文件,激發(fā)學(xué)生興趣,使學(xué)生真正參與到學(xué)習(xí)中來。Step1Leading-inHaveafreetalkwithstudents.Askthemthefollowingquestions:Didyouhaveawonderfultimeinyourwinterholidays?HowdidyouspendyourSpringFestival?【設(shè)計(jì)說明】通過與學(xué)生的輕松談話活躍了課堂氣氛又恰當(dāng)?shù)囊肓吮竟?jié)課的主題Step2Warmingup1LetstudentsbrainstormotherChinesefestivalsandletstudentsbrieflytalkaboutsomefestivalsintheirownwords.(LanternFestival,PureBrightnessFestival,DragonBoatFestival,Mid-AutumnFestival,NewYear’sDay,ChungYeungFestival...)【設(shè)計(jì)說明】:利用思維導(dǎo)圖激活學(xué)生已有的有關(guān)節(jié)日的背景知識和知識結(jié)構(gòu),學(xué)生可以按照教師的提示:中國每年都有許多節(jié)日,每月都有一個(gè)甚至兩個(gè)以上的節(jié)日去思考中國有哪些傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日。2WorkingroupsandlistbelowthreemoreChinesefestivalsthatyouknow.Discusswhentheytakeplace,whattheycelebrateandwhatpeopledoatthattime.Askstudentstofillinthefollowingformandasksometosharetheiropinionswiththewholeclass.Thefirstoneisgivenasanexample.FestivalsTimeofyear/dateWhatitcelebratesWhatpeopledoMid-AutumnFestivalautumn/fallthebeautyofthefullmoon,harvest,timewithfamilyandfriendsgive/eatmooncakesandwatchthefullmoonwithfamilyandfriendsSpringFestivalJanuary/FebruaryTheendofwinter,arrivalofspring,lunarNewYear,timewithfamilyandrelativesGivemoneyinredpapertochildren,seedragondances,eatdumplings,visitfamilymembersandsetofffirecrackersandLanternFestivalOnthefifteenthdayoftheNewYearathree-dayfestivaloflanternsbegins.goodfortune,happinessendoftheandhealthAtthelanternfestival,theNewYearfestivitiesareoverandlifereturnstoitsnormalpace.Tangyuan,watchinglanterns,guessingtheriddles,andwatchYanggedanceaswellasliondanceDragonBoatFestival/DuanWuFestivalThefifthdayofthefifthmonthinlunarcalendarThememoryofbelovedpoetQuYuanwhodiedin278BCTangyuan,watchinglanterns,guessingtheriddles,andwatchYanggedanceaswellasliondance【設(shè)計(jì)說明】學(xué)生通過討論填寫表格,意在讓學(xué)生從三個(gè)方面:時(shí)間,慶祝內(nèi)容和人們的活動(dòng)來深入系統(tǒng)的認(rèn)識中國的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日,從而熱愛中國文化,為傳播中國節(jié)日文化做好鋪墊。要求各組匯報(bào)他們討論的結(jié)論,意在各組之間互相補(bǔ)充,統(tǒng)一看法,同時(shí)也練習(xí)了他們的英語口頭表達(dá)能力。最后啟發(fā)學(xué)生深刻理解節(jié)日的含義。3.Talkaboutsomeforeignfestivalswithstudents.(Christmas,AprilFools’Day,Easter,Halloween,Valentine’sDay,ThanksgivingDay,...)【設(shè)計(jì)說明】簡要了解外國的節(jié)日,了解中西方文化差異。Step3Pre-reading1.Letstudentsdiscussthefollowingquestions:Whatfestivalsorcelebrationsdoyouhaveinyourcityortown?Whatpartofafestivaldoyoulikebest—theactivities,themusic,thesights,thefoodorthepeoplewhovisit?AskstudentstolookatthepicturesandtitleofthepassageinReading.Discussin
