本課時(shí)內(nèi)容選高中英語外研社必修三Module3Reading&Vocabulary,本課以“NatureDisaster”為話題,解釋了什么是龍卷風(fēng)和颶風(fēng),并對其對人們帶來的危害進(jìn)行了描述。學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)通過閱讀獲取材料中的細(xì)節(jié)要點(diǎn),同時(shí)了解自然災(zāi)害的危害以及在自然災(zāi)害中的經(jīng)歷、感受,提高自我保護(hù)意識。

授課對象為高一8班學(xué)生。該班學(xué)生整體外向、開朗、思維活躍。大部分學(xué)生處于中等偏下水平。這些學(xué)生相對學(xué)習(xí)熱情較高,刻苦努力,但英語基礎(chǔ)薄弱,詞匯量小。整體看,該班一部分學(xué)生能用英語提取信息、處理信息,簡單表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn);但是運(yùn)用英語連貫地描述事件、闡釋意義和批判評價(jià)的能力都比較弱。
