e.g.:IthasbeenfiveyearssinceIbegantolearnEnglish.=It'sfiveyearssinceIbegantolearnEnglish.since此處用作連詞,意為“自從,自……以來”。主句常用完成時(shí),且動詞需要用延續(xù)性動詞。since后接從句,該從句用一般過去時(shí)態(tài)。

e.g.:ShehastaughtusEnglishsinceIcametothisschool.【拓展】since還可以用作介詞,意為“自從……以來”,后接表示時(shí)間點(diǎn)的詞。

意為“看見某人做了某事”,指看見動作發(fā)生的全過程。

e.g.:Hehaslearnedtodealwithallkindsofdifficulties.LanguagePoints①dealwith與dowith二者都可以用來表示“處理”,deal側(cè)重于方式、方法,do側(cè)重于對象。在特殊疑問句中,dealwith與how連用,dowith則與what連用。

e.g.:Idon’tknowhowtheydealwiththeproblem.=Idon’tknowwhattheydowiththeproblem.②dealwith還有一個需要注意的地方:

在動詞不定式短語todealwith中,必須帶賓語。

giveupyournormallife.……你必須準(zhǔn)備好放棄你的正常生活。(教材第27頁)bepreparedtodosth.意為“準(zhǔn)備好做某事,愿意做某事”。

e.g.:Iampreparedtotaketheexam.【拓展】bepreparedfor

意為“為……做好準(zhǔn)備”。giveup意為“放棄”,其后可接名詞、代詞或動詞-ing形式作賓語。giveup是動副型短語,后接代詞作賓語時(shí),應(yīng)將代詞放在give和up之間。
