Theredocumentsareshipbuildingqualitystandardimplementedbyouryardpresently.TheyconsistoftwopartslikeQUALITYCONTROLTHROUGHPRODUCTIONandCONSTRUCTIONACCURACYTakenasamainbasisfortheshipbuildinginouryard,thisconstructionaccuracyismadeaccordingtotheshipbuildingqualitystandardinadvancedshipbuildingnations,internationalconventionsaswellasrulesandregulationsofsomewell-knownclassificationsocieties.Forthispurpose,werequire:

detailedworkmanshipanddrawings,ifnootherspecificrestriction,complywiththerespectiverequirementsstatedinthisSTANDARD.Incaseofdifference,thisSTANDARDshallgovernall.

weldingincludinginspectionsbefore,duringandafterweldingaswellastheinspectionoffinishedweldments.

Allweldsaretobevisuallyexaminedfirst.

Qualityinspectionofweldedseamsistobecarriedoutaccordingtothe

specifiedrequirements.EitherX-raydetection,ultrasonicdetectionorotherinspectionmethodsapprovedbytheclassificationsocietymaybeadopted.

Legsizesoffilletweldsaretocomplywiththedesignplanandrelevant

codes.

Weldedjointsonthestrengthdeck,shellplateandinteriorstrengthmembers

inthemid-lengthregionaretobeinspectedinaccordancewiththenon-destructiveinspectionplanapprovedbytheclassificationsociety.

Allweldingseamshavingconcernwithtightnesstestaretobefreeofscales,slugs,paints(excludingprimers)oranygrease.

Tightnesstesttothehullstructuremaybeperformedwitheitherhosetest,hydraulictest,airtestorotherequivalentmethodsdependinguponthehullstrengthandtightnessrequirement.

Tightnesstestmaybeperformedonblocks.

Thelocationandrequirementsfortightnesstestaretobeincompliancewiththerequirementsoftheclassificationsociety.

Beforeblanking,checkistobemadetothepipesize,grade,materialquality,

Bendingofpipes

Eithercoldbendingorhotbendingmaybeusedforpipebending.Incaseof

coldbending,thebendingradiusofthecurvatureofthepipeistobeingeneralnotlessthanthreetimestheoutsidediameterofthepipe.Forspecialpipessuchastankheatingpipeandpipestobefixedinconfinedspace,theradiusofcurvatureistobeingeneralnotlessthantwotimestheoutsidediameterofthepipe.Whenpre-fabricatedbendisadopted,thebendingradiusofthecurvatureistobenotlessthantheoutsidediameterofthepipe.

opticalsightorrunningaline.Theopticalinstrumentusedistobeaccurateandingoodconditionandsuchcenteringistobecarriedoutatthetimewithoutdirectsunshine.

Beforeconductionshaftingcentering,allhullconstructionbehindengine

roomforebulkheadandbelowmaindeckorcontinuousstrengthdeckaretobecompleted.Thesterntubeistobecentered,fixedandweldedtocompletionbasedonship’scenterlinedulysurveyedandqualified.

Duringtheprocessofshaftingcentering,anyworkthatmaycausesever

vibrationandliftingoperationofheavypiecearetobeforbidden.

Aftercentering,checktheverticaldistanceoftheshaftingcentertotheface

plateofthefoundationofmainengineandtothefaceplateofbeddingsupportofintermediatebearing,thedeviationatforeandaftandthemachiningtoleranceofthesternbossaretobechecked.

Referencepositionforboringistobedefined.

Boringofsterntubeandmachiningofsternbush

Aftercompletingboringofsterntube,thedeviationofitscenterlinefromthe

foreandaftreferencecenterpointsistoberechecked.’

Theexternalcircleofsternbushistobemachinedinaccordancewiththe

pressing.Beforepressing-in,thedimensionsofmatingpartsofsterntubeandbusharetobecheckedunderthesametemperature.Duringthepressing-inprocess,thepressing-inforceistobeincompliancewiththerequirementsoftechnicaldocument.
