LocatedatthefootofFengchaoHill,theXiamenOverseasChineseMuseumisacomprehensivemuseumthathighlightsthehistoryofoverseasChinese,andtheonlyChinesemuseumsetupbyoverseasChinese.

TheOverseaChineseMuseumwasfoundedbytheChinesephilanthropistChenJiageng.Itisabuildingwithabuildingareaofmorethan3,000squaremeters,displayingmorethan7000exhibits.SpecialexhibitionsofthemuseumincludeUnearthedMummiesinXinjiang,InnerMongolianFolkRelicsandAncientTechnologicalAchievementsofChineseAgriculture,etc.

TheNanputuoTempleislocatedonthesoutheastofXiamenIsland.

ZhongshanRoadismorethanjustacommercialstreet,itisaleisure,entertainmentandfoodcenterinXiamen.

Over200shopslinesupthestreetwithclearchainstoreoutletsandtrinketshops.MostofthebuildingsalongtheZhongshanRoadareacombinationofVictoria-eraandChinesetraditionalarchitectures,akindoftwo-storeybuildingsknownas“QiLou”(ridingacrossbuildings).QiLouisdesignedbothforcommerceandliving.

SunlightRockisalsoknownasDragonHeadHill.AsthehighestpointofGulangyuIsland,SunlightRockScenicAreaincludesSunlightRockandPianoGarden.

Thereisasayingthatifyouhaven’tascendedSunlightRock,youhaven’treallybeentoXiamenPerchedatopSunlightRockisagiganticstonewithadiameterofover40meters.

SunlightRockTempleisoneofthefourtopBuddhisttemplesinXiamen.ThetemplewasfirstbuiltintheMingDynastyandwasfamedfarandwide,attractingaccomplishedmonksthroughoutthedynasties.ConnectedtoSunlightRockthroughthecablecar,PianoGardenisanotherattractionfortourists.
