第頁共頁外語教師教案：通過《偉大的友誼》讓學(xué)生掌握英語生詞和表達方式AsanEnglishteacher,itisimportantforustoalwaysbeonthelookoutforwaystoengageourstudentsandmakethelearningprocessasfunandinteractiveaspossible.Oneofthewayswecanachievethisisbyusinginterestingandrelatablematerialsinourteaching."TheGreatFriendship"isonesuchmaterialthatcanbeleveragedtofacilitatestudents’acquisitionofEnglishvocabularyandexpressions.Inthisarticle,wewillexplorehowwecanuse"TheGreatFriendship"tohelpourstudentsmasterEnglishvocabularyandexpressions.Background"TheGreatFriendship"isastoryabouttwoboysfromdifferentbackgroundswhobecomefriends.ThestoryisrichinEnglishvocabularyandexpressionsthataresuitableforintermediateandadvanced-levelEnglishlearners.Itisaninterestingstorythatstudentscaneasilyrelateto,astheytoomighthaveexperiencedmakingfriendswithpeoplefromdifferentbackgrounds.HowtoUse"TheGreatFriendship"inTeachingPre-readingactivitiesBeforereadingthestory,itisimportanttointroducestudentstosomeofthekeyvocabularyandexpressionsthatarefeaturedinthestory.Thiscanbedoneusingflashcardsorbyconductingabriefvocabularyquiztoactivatetheirpriorknowledge.Thiswillensurethatstudentsareabletofollowthestorybetterandunderstandthecontextinwhichthesewordsandexpressionsareused.ComprehensionquestionsAfterreadingthestory,itisimportanttotestthestudents'comprehensionofthestory.Thiscanbedonebyaskingquestionsrelatedtotheplot,characters,setting,andthemes.Examplesofcomprehensionquestionscouldinclude:Whatwasthenameoftheprotagonistinthestory?Whatdidhedoforaliving?Wheredidhemeettheothermaincharacter?Whydidtheprotagonistwanttobefriendtheothercharacter?Whatweresomeofthechallengesthecharactersfaced?3.VocabularyexpansionThestorycontainsmanywordsandexpressionsthatmightnotbefamiliartothestudents.Tohelpthemexpandtheirvocabulary,itisimportanttoidentifythesewordsandexpressionsandguidethestudentsonhowtousethemincontext.Thiscanbedoneby:AskingstudentstoidentifythemeaningofthewordsfromthecontextofthestoryProvidingreal-lifeexamplesofhowthewordscanbeusedEncouragingstudentstousethesewordsandexpressionsintheirownwritingandspeakingactivities4.Role-playandskitsOnewaytobringthestorytolifeandenhancestudents'understandingisbyencouragingthemtoactoutthestory.Thiscouldinvolverole-playingthecharactersinthestoryorcreatingtheirownscenariosthatrelatetothethemesinthestory.Forinstance,studentscouldbeaskedtocomeupwiththeirowndialoguebasedonthecharactersinthestory,orcreateaskitthatreflectsthedifferentculturesrepresentedinthestory.ConclusionIncorporating"TheGreatFriendship"intoourteachingcanbeausefulwaytoencouragestudentstoimprovetheirEnglishvocabularyandexpressions.Byadoptingamultifacetedapproachthatincludespre-readingactivities,comprehensionquestions
