Thegoodnewsisthattheworldisfullofproven,cheapwaystosaveenergy.Herearethe

seventhatcouldhavethebiggestimpact:

Insulate

Spaceheatingandcoolingeatsup36percentofalltheworld'senergy.There\virtuallyno

limittohowmuchofthatcanbesaved,asprototype“zero-energyhomes"inSwitzerlandand

Germanyhaveshown.There'sbeenasurgeinnewwaysofkeepingheatinandcoldout（orvice

versa）.Themostadvancedinsulationfollowsthelawofincreasingreturns:ifyouaddenough,
