Objective:Bylearningthislesson,studentsshouldbeableto
masterthefollowingaspectsofEnglishknowledgeandability:1)Beabletouserelevantvocabularyandphrasestodescribespaceexplorationandspacemissions;2)Abletounderstandtheintroductionofspacescientistsandsortoutkeyinformation;3)Beabletousetheknowledgeandinformationlearnedtoconductgroupdiscussionsandwritearticlesonspaceexploration.
Teachingfocus:Theteachingfocusofthislessonmainlyincludesthemasteryofspaceexplorationvocabularyandphrases,theunderstandingofNASAmissionsandspacescientists,andthe

developmentofEnglishlistening,speaking,readingandwriting
skills.
Teachingdifficulty:Theteachingdifficultyofthislessonliesintheimprovementofstudents'abilitytounderstandanddescribespaceexplorationandspacemissions,andthecultivationofskillsonhowtoorganizeandextractkeyinformation.
Analysisoflearningsituation:Inthesecondgradeofseniorhighschool,theEnglishlevelofthestudentshasbasicallyreachedthemiddleandadvancedlevel,andtheyhavemasteredcertainbasicEnglishknowledgeandskills.Studentsmayhavesomeinterestandcuriosityabouttopicssuchasspaceexplorationandspacemissions,butmaynotknowmuchaboutthem.Inaddition,studentsmayneedtoimprovetheirlistening,speaking,readingandwritingskills.
Teachingstrategy:Basedontheanalysisofschoolsituation,wecanadoptscenarioteachingandotherheuristicteachingstrategiestostimulatestudents'learninginterestandimprove

theirenthusiasmandinitiative.Atthesametime,itcanalsoguidestudentstocarryoutcooperativelearning,promotemutuallearningandcooperationamongstudentsthroughgroupdiscussionandotherways,andimprovetheirlistening,speaking,readingandwritingability.

Classroominteraction(35minutes):
Content:Learnthekeywordsandphrasesinthearticle"MissiontoMars",andunderstandthemaincontentandstructureofthearticle.
Teachingactivities:First,IwillshowthetitleofthearticletothestudentsandexplainthattodaywearegoingtostudyanarticleabouttheMarsexplorationmission.Then,insmallgroups,Iwouldhandoutessaystostudentsandaskthemtoreadthetitle,thesubtitle,andthefirstsentenceofeachparagraph,thencollaborateandtrytoguessthegeneralcontentoftheessay.Next,I'llaskseveralgroupstosharetheirguesses,along
withsomesuggestionsandguidance.Next,Iwillguidethestudentstoreadthewholepassagetogetherandexplainthemeaningofthenewwordsandphrasesastheyread.Afterreading,Iwillleadtheclasstoanalyzethestructureofthearticleanddiscussthemainideaofeachparagraphandtherelationshipbetweenparagraphs.
Endsession(5minutes):
Content:Summarizethecoursecontentandencouragestudentstoaskquestionsanddiscuss.
Teachingactivities:Attheendofthesession,Iwillgiveabriefsummaryofthemainpointsofthelessonandencouragestudentstoraiseanyquestionsorideasthattheyarenotclearaboutanddiscussandanswerthemwiththeclass.Iwillhighlightimportantlearningpointsandtechniquesandencouragefurtherself-directedlearningandreadingafterclass.
Throughtheselead-in,classinteraction,andclosingsessions,studentswillbeabletoimprovetheirreadinganddiscussionskills,activelyparticipateinclassinteractions,anddeepentheirunderstandingofthetextsandtopicsastheyexplorespaceand

1.Notdiverseenough.WhenIaskedquestions,Imainlyusedsinglechoiceandtrueorfalsequestions,whichmaylimitstudents'thinkingabilityandanswerways.NexttimeIcantrytouseopenquestionstoencouragemorediscussionandreflection.
2.Timeisnotevenlydistributed.Inthislesson,Ispenttoomuchtimeintheintroduction,resultingininsufficienttimefor
