Theinfluencesofchanginglocationsandstrengthsofjetstreamsuponweatherconditionsandpatternsareno
doubtconsiderable.Currentintensiveresearchmayeventuallyrevealtheirtruesignificance.

separatedfromthetropospherebyazoneofuniformtemperaturescalledthetropopause.Withinthelower
