PAGEPAGEPAGE4《國際商務(wù)英語》教學(xué)大綱InternationalBusinessEnglish一、課程基本信息課程編號：241221適用專業(yè)：國際經(jīng)濟(jì)與貿(mào)易課程性質(zhì)：專業(yè)必修開課單位：經(jīng)貿(mào)學(xué)院學(xué)時(shí)：40學(xué)分：2.5考核方式：考試（平時(shí)成績占總成績的30%）中文簡介：國際貿(mào)易英語是伴隨國際貿(mào)易課程在我國高等院校的普及，為了進(jìn)一步提高國貿(mào)學(xué)生的英語水平，了解與之相關(guān)的國際商務(wù)英語知識而開設(shè)的。隨著我國加入WTO，我國經(jīng)濟(jì)與世界經(jīng)濟(jì)的聯(lián)系越來越密切，國際商務(wù)已成為日常生活中最熱門的詞匯之一，由此也需要越來越多的國際商務(wù)人才。隨之也產(chǎn)生了一個(gè)迫切需要解決的問題，國際商務(wù)的專業(yè)英語水平急需提高。隨著我國改革開放的不斷深入發(fā)展，我國與國外的經(jīng)濟(jì)交往日漸頻繁。國際商務(wù)業(yè)務(wù)人員不僅要掌握業(yè)務(wù)知識，還要能用外語同外商交流。而與普通日常英語口語不同的是，國際商務(wù)英語專業(yè)性較強(qiáng)，需要作為專業(yè)的課程來開設(shè)。為此我們系統(tǒng)地、逐步深入地開設(shè)了《國際商務(wù)英語》、《國貿(mào)英語口語》、《國貿(mào)英語聽力》，而本門課程《國際貿(mào)易英語》正是在此基礎(chǔ)上而開設(shè)的。為了進(jìn)一步地培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在國際商務(wù)種實(shí)際和研究工作中運(yùn)用英語的能力，為了讓學(xué)生更多地了解跨文化交際地重要性，課程通過大量閱讀相關(guān)商務(wù)英語的材料，內(nèi)容包括經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化、文化與國際貿(mào)易、政策與法律、國際市場進(jìn)入等領(lǐng)域，擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的知識面，加深學(xué)生對跨文化交流的理解，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對跨文化交流的了解和熟悉程度，提高學(xué)生在商務(wù)領(lǐng)域里運(yùn)用熟練運(yùn)用英語語言技能的能力。教學(xué)目的與要求LessonOneanintroductiontointernationaltradeSomecountriesaredeficientincriticalrawmaterials,suchaslumberoroil.tomakeupforthesevariousdeficiencies,countrieshavetoengageininternationaltradetoobtaintheresourcesnecessarytoproducethegoodsdesiredbytheircitizens.Inadditiontotradingforrawmaterials,countriesalsoexchangeawidevarietyofprocessedfoodsandfinishedproducts.LessonTwocultureandinternationaltradeSomecountriesaredeficientincriticalrawmaterials,suchaslumberoroil.tomakeupforthesevariousdeficienciescountrieshavetoengageininternationaltradetoobtaintheresourcesnecessarytoproducethegoodsdesiredbytheircitizens.Inadditiontotradingforrawmaterials,countriesalsoexchangeawidevarietyofprocessedfoodsandfinishedproducts.LessonThreeEconomicGlobalizationEconomicglobalizationisverymuchinthenewstoday.Numerouscompanieshaveengagedaggressivelyininternationalization,propelledbytheconvictionthatthisisanirreversiblemarkettrend.Economicglobalizationnormallymeansadecouplingofspaceantime,emphasizingthatwithinstantaneouscommunication,knowledgeandculturecanbesharedaroundtheworldsimultaneously.Whatkindsofcharactersdoyouthinkaqualifiedinternationaltrademustpossess?LessonFourcultureadaptationininternationaltradeCultureconflictshappenbetweenthemultinationalcompanyandthehostcountry.Theinternationalmanagersmustfaceanewcultureroundthem.Certainly,acompanywillseektoworkwithinexistinglocalculturepatterns,althoughthismaynotalwaysbepossible.MNCsmayhaveanumberoffreshsubsidiariesinforeigncountries.Theyneedtointroduceworkingmethodsthatmightdecreaseconflictinthehostcountries.Hoedosecultureinfluencebusinessbehaviors?Howtodealwiththecultureininternationalbusiness?LessonFivemanchesterismVS.protectionismThecontroversybetweenmanchesterismandprotectionismhasbeenacontinuingissueinmostcountries’tradepolicy.ItseemsthatProtectionismiscondemnedseverelywhilefrequentlyappliedbysomecountries.Maybe,itisdifficulttosaywhichpolicyisbetter.Nationschoosetradepolicyaccordingtotheirnationalinterest,notthetermofManchesterismorProtectionism.TradeprotectionismincreasingthetransactioncostoftheglobalmarketLessonSixEconomicintegrationWhyhadGATT/WTOmultilateraltalksbeensosuccessfulatliberalizingtheindustrialtariffsofindustrializednations?Anytypeofarrangementinwhichcountriesagreetocoordinatetheirtrade,fiscal,and/ormonetarypoliciesisreferredtoaseconomicintegration.Obviously,therearemanydifferentdegreesofintegration.Thestudentsshouldunderstand:(1)thepreferentialtariffarrangement,(2)thefreetradearea,(3)thecustomsunion,(4)thecommonmarket,(5)theeconomicunion,(6)staticeffects。LessonSevenforeigndirectinvestmentInfinanceandbusiness,aninvestmentisanassetpurchasedforprofit,whetherviaincome,orcapitalappreciation,orsomecombination.Theentitymakingtheinvestmentisaninvestor.Theoppositeofmakinganinvestment,orsellingtheasset,isdivestment.Basedprimarilyontherelationshipbetweenthepartiesandsecondlyonthenatureoftheinstrumentinvolved,investmentisdistinguishedasthreecategoriesincludingdirectinvestment,Portfolioinvestmentandotherinvestment.三、教學(xué)方法與手段采取精講多練，即教師精講各種實(shí)用表達(dá)語及基本表達(dá)句子，通過師生問答、討論，讓學(xué)生多練習(xí)。要求學(xué)生通過大量的閱讀能在較短的時(shí)間流利地表達(dá)自己的思想，并掌握必要的書寫技能，對國際商務(wù)、對外貿(mào)易等方面的具有英語語言運(yùn)用能力的提高與發(fā)展，而且更能提高學(xué)生全面的文化素養(yǎng)，增加對文化差異性的了解，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生尊重不同文化傳統(tǒng)的習(xí)慣。四、教學(xué)內(nèi)容及目標(biāo)教學(xué)內(nèi)容教學(xué)目標(biāo)學(xué)時(shí)分配LessonOneanintroductiontointernationaltrade61Tolearnthedefinitionoftrade掌握32.Tounderstandthebasicconceptsininternationaltrade掌握3重點(diǎn)與難點(diǎn):Whydomoderncountriestradewithoneanother?Therearenumerousreasonsthatcountriesengageininternationaltrade.衡量學(xué)習(xí)是否達(dá)到目標(biāo)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn):通過課堂提問及課后習(xí)題的方式了解學(xué)生的掌握情況。第二章cultureandinternationaltrade61Tounderstandthemeaningofculture理解22.Toknownthelevelsofcorporationculture掌握23.Toknownthereasonsofcultureconflicts掌握2重點(diǎn)與難點(diǎn):ToanswerwhyshouldtheMNCsmakeculturaladaptation衡量學(xué)習(xí)是否達(dá)到目標(biāo)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn):通過課堂提問及課后習(xí)題的方式了解學(xué)生的掌握情況。LessonThreeEconomi
