The two teams can have a match, the faster team can get points.4. If Ss are good enough and the time is enough, Ss choose 1-2 Ss to practiceActivity 3: The king of phonics 1. Divide the class into 2 groups . Hand out each group a little phonics calendar.2. T can invite 2-3 better Ss to demo the game for other Ss. The members take turns to make 2 words with the phonics calendar. Other members have to race to read out the words. 3. They have 3mins to practice.4. Then T can invite 5-6 Ss to the front and have the final competition. T choose 5 other Ss to make words and the Ss in the front should race to read out the words. The fastest one can get one point. After 5 rounds, who gets the most points is the “The king of phonics”.Activity 4: New Words 1. T show the PPT and study the words :she he me we 2. T will say a word, Ss will spell the words using the calendar. 3. The fastest group can get points 4. Lets practice 5. T let SS find out the difference and the same 6.Let chant (listen repeat and do together)ApplicationLet spell1. Encourage the Ss to read the chant sentence by sentence. If they meet some difficult words, try to encourage Ss to pronounce the words in phonics way. If the Ss still say the words, teacher just guide pupils to listen and imitate the chant.2.
