Nowadays, millions of Chinese leave the countryside to search for work in the cities. 當今，數(shù)以百萬計的中國人離開農(nóng)村在城里找工作。（1） nowadays 用作副詞，意為“當今，目前”。通常用于一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài)，位于句首或句尾作狀語。 例如： Nowadays, children have more pocket money.當今孩子們有更多的零花錢。 It is very difficult for many people to buy a house nowadays. 當今，對很多人來說，買房很難。（2） search此處用作不及物動詞，意為“搜索，搜查”。search for意為“搜尋，尋找“ ，相當于look for ,后面的賓語為尋找的目標。例如：It is too dark to search further.天太暗，無法進一步搜查。He is searching for his sunglasses.他正在找他的太陽鏡?！就卣埂縮earch還可用作及物動詞，意為“搜查，搜身”search sb 意為“對某人進行搜身”search some place 意為“對某地進行搜查”searchfor意為“搜查（某人、地點）找（某東西、人）”例如：The police searched the thief for a stolen wallet.警察搜小偷身，找被盜的錢包。The army searched the mountains for a spy.軍隊搜山找間諜。search 還可用作名詞，意為“尋找,搜查”。例如：The police have already carried out a search.警察已經(jīng)展開搜查。in search of 搜查2. Among these is Zhong Wei ,a 46year-old husband and father.鐘偉，一位46歲的丈夫和父親，就是其中的一員。此句是一個倒裝句。正常句子為 Zhong Wei ,a 46yearold husband and father,is among these.among用作介詞，意為“在- - - - - - 之中”。指在（總數(shù)為）三者或以上的人或物之間，而且，這“三者及以上的人或物”是以整體形式出現(xiàn)的，不能是“由個體用and連接而成的三者或以上”。Among不能與and連用。between意為“在（兩者）之間”，或“在（三者及以上的每兩兩）之間”。常與and連用。例如：She was the yongest among them.她是他們中年齡最小的。They divided the money up among the beggars.他們把錢在乞丐中分光了。Tom sat among a group of boys.湯姆坐在一群男孩當中。Tom sat between David and Mike.湯姆坐在David和Mike之間.Tom sat between David, Mike, Jack and Bob.湯姆坐在David, Mike, Jack和Bob之間。3.
