mothers death has been hard on him but tried to do his best.” teddys fourth grade teacher wrote, “teddy is withdrawn, sometimes sleeps in class and doesnt show much interest in school.” by now, mrs.thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself.by christmas, mrs.thompson got presents wrapped in beautiful paper, except for teddys. his present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper. some children even laughed when she found a rhinestone (人造鉆石) bracelet with some stones missing, and a bottle with onequarter full of perfume. but she stifled the childrens laughter when
