Teaching goals: 1.1 Ability goals 能力目標(biāo) 1.1.1 Enable students to talk about their own problems and troubles. 1.1.2 Enable students to choose some ways to lower the pressure in daily life. 1.2 Emotional goals 情感目標(biāo) Encourage Ss to develop the cooperative spirit and the optimistic attitude through pair work .2. Teaching key points 2.1 To help Ss master words and chunks. 2.2 To enable Ss to talk about problems and troubles by using the target language. 2.3 To help Ss find out the correct ways to lower their pressure. 3. Teaching difficult points 3.1 To let Ss master so many words and phrases. 3.2 To make Ss learn to give appropriate advice to the certain problems. 3.3 To make Ss use the grammar correctly and fluently. 4. Teaching procedures 教學(xué)進(jìn)程 4.1 Leading-in and warming-up 引入 Greet the Ss and ask:Today we are going to learn unit4 sectionA, before studying,I want you to reflect the two ways to give advice .Then the teacher will introduce the third way to give advice.板書:give advice:you should You could Why dont youShow the pictures on P25, look at the girl on the left, let the Ss answer some questions: 1. What is she doing today? 2. How does she feel? Look at the same girl on the right: 1. What is she doing now? How does she feel? 2. Can you give some advice to this girl? 4.2 New points input 新知輸入T: do you like playing football?the boy also likes playing football,but he has some trouble. Whats his trouble?can you give him some advice? Show some pictures and ask the Ss : “Whats wrong with him?” Talk about the problems they met. Let the whole class learn the phrases and sentences to express the problems.T: What should he do? Can you give him / her some advice? Let the students discuss in groups, use the sentence structures: He should do / Maybe he could do/Why dont you 4.3 Listening practice 聽力訓(xùn)練 4.3.1 Pre-listening:Let students translate the sentences in 1a . 4.3.2 While-listening. Listen and check the answers: 4.3.3 Post-listening T tell the students about why they choose the answers, then let students be more familiar to the listening material. T can encourage Ss to make the conversation using the information in 1a. Take the following as an example:Whats wrong?Im really tried because I studied until midnight last night.Why dont you go to sleep earlier this evening?Thats a good idea.Problems andadvice1. I have to study too much so I dont get enough sleep. Why dont you go to sleep earlier this evening?2. I have too much homework so I dont have any free time to do things I like. Why dont you talk t your teacher?3. My parents dont allow me to hang out with my friends. Why dont you read some interesting books at home? 4. I have too many after-school classes. Why dont you talk to your parents?5. I got into a fight with my best friend. Why dont you call him up? Get Ss to share their conversations with the class. 5.
