Students need to master the names of animals.And they need to use adjectives to describe animals.They should use “Why do you like .? Because they are .” to express the reason why they like the animals.The teacher should lead students to love nature and animals. They need to know we should save the animals and our nature.2、 Analysis of the studentsStudents have learned English for some time.They can use English to express their feelings.And they are creative and active. They know animals and love them. But its a little difficult to use adjectives to express their feelings about animals. So the teacher should use pictures and Multi-Media to make them active. They should learn to communicate with others using English.3、 Teaching objectives(1) 、Knowledge goal1. Learn the words: tiger,elephant, koala,cute, smart.2. Maser the sentences: Why do/dont you like.? Because they are .3. Talk about animals: Where are .from? They are from.?(2) 、Emotions By learning this lesson, students can love animals and our nature.They should learn to save animals.(3) 、Learning strategy1. The teacher makes students active by playing games.2. Students learn to speak English by practicing the dialogues.3. The teacher uses some pictures to attract students to learn the animals and adjectives. 2.Interaction.The Teacher-students Iteraction, Student-student Iteration.They can improve their communication this way. 3.Situation teaching method.The teacher uses some things to make students talk with each other.Make them more active in learning English.6、 Teaching procedureStep 1. Lead in The teacher shows some pictures to lead students to learn the new words: cute smart tiger lion.Students will remember the words easily because of the interesting pictures.Step 2. Playing a game. The teacher shows some pictures of animals quickly. Then ask students to tell the names of the animals. Students will remember the words better by playing this game. After that, ask students to finish 1a. The teacher checks the answers.Step 3. Group work 1.Talk about the animals students like. T: What animals do you like? S1: I like . T: Why do you like. S1: Because they are. 2.Listening. 1b. The teacher plays the recorder and asks students to finish 1b.Then check the answers. 3.Practice the dialogue in 1c. S2: What animals do you like? S3: I like . S2: Why? S3: Because they are. Students can use the target language to talk with each other by learning 1a-1c. Step 4. Presentation Show some pictures about animals from different countries. Students need to learn about more animals and the sentences: Where are .from? They are from. Then teach the students : very, kind of and reallyStep 5 Listening 2a and 2b The teacher plays the recorder twice and checks the answers. Students can improve their listening by finishing 2a and 2b.Step 6 Pair work Talk about animals they like in pairs A: Lets see the.first. B: Why do you want to see them? A: Because they are.
