Unit 8 Is there a post office near here?一、教學目標（1）掌握本小節(jié)的重要詞匯及句型。 （2）通過本小節(jié)的學習，掌握問路與指路的基本語句，并能運用于現(xiàn)實生活中。二、重點詞匯（1）post office, hotel, video arcade, bank, park, supermarket, street, pay phone, avenue（2）表示方位的介詞三、重點句型：Is there a bank near here ? Yes, theres a bank on Center Street. Wheres the supermarket ? Its next to the library. Is there a pay phone in the neighborhood ? Yes, its on Bridge Street on the right.四、教學重、難點1重點：1）表方位的介詞：near、across from、next to、between、on 2）問路與指路的基本語句 2難點：本小節(jié)詞匯量較大（12個單詞，9條短語）。五、教具：PPT,音頻資料六、教學流程Step 1 Warming-up and revision1.Greetings.2.Revise the new words and expressions.3.Revise the conversations they learned the last day.4.Some Ss report their collection in the homework.Step 2 Presentation 方法一：教師課前準備1a中出現(xiàn)的標有各建筑或設(shè)施的單個圖片。將其逐個呈現(xiàn)，同時與學生進行對話： （1）T: What can you see? Ss: I can see a library. （2）T: Whats in the picture? Ss: There is a bank. T: Is there a bank? Ss: Yes. 教師一邊出示圖片，一邊教讀單詞，并將圖片貼在黑板上，讓學生讀出單詞，猜想漢語意思。在學生能力較高的班上，教師可提前加入后面的avenue, garden等名詞。生詞呈現(xiàn)完后，再集中教讀。此時教師應注意學生的發(fā)音，尤其是arcade的重音。必要時可抽部分學生朗讀。 方法二：為呈現(xiàn)supermarket, bank, video arcade等詞，可有如下對話： （1）T: Where can we buy food and drink? Ss: In a supermarket. （2）T: Where do people keep their money? Ss: In a bank. （3）T: Where can you play video games? Ss: In a video arcade. 其余類似。教師將通過對話引出的單詞板書在黑板上并教讀。 方法三： （1）引出單詞 street: T:Our school is on Zhong Shan Street. Ss: Yes. （2）T: On the street we can see our school. We can see a shop, too. Ss: Yes. （3）T: What other things can we see on the street? Ss：I can see a. （4）T: What can you see on other streets? S1: I can see a . S2: I can see a . （為了讓學生能夠表達其意，教師可將學生可能會涉及到的以及已經(jīng)表達的單詞寫在黑板上。在學生學習能力較強的班上，教師可將學生使用到而教材中未出現(xiàn)的單詞寫在黑板上并教讀。）Step 2檢驗學生是否正確理解詞意。 T: Whats in a supermarket? Ss: Food and drink. T: Whats in a library? Ss: Books. T: What can you do in a video arcade? Ss: I can play games. 教師可板書以下句型： (1) Whats in a library? (2)What can you do in a video arcade? 讓學生自己選擇用什么樣的問句進行問答練習。 Step 3聽力訓練：熟悉單詞。教師放1b部分的錄音兩遍，要求學生圈出所聽到的詞。師生一道討論所聽到的內(nèi)容。 Step 4呈現(xiàn)主要對話。 （1）T: Look at the map. Can you find Center Street?（板書: Center ST） Ss: Yes. 教師用以上同樣的句型引導學生對圖中其他地點進行問答。 （2）T: There is a bank near here on Center Street. Is there a bank near here?
