Review some phrases learned in the last class. 2. Check the phrases. Step II. Presentation Teach activity 3a (1) Lead inHow do you feel if you stay at home alone at night?Ask students look at the picture in 3a and describe her feeling. (2) Fast readingPlay the tape, students listen and get the main idea.After listening, students must answer my question:How many people give opinion? (3) Careful reading 1) Task 1. Read para1 and get answers.1.Where did they live? 2. Whats the town used to be?3. Whats happening these days? 4.Who is Victor?5.Whats his wifes opinion? 6. Whats his friends opinions?7. Whats the policemens opinions? 2) Task 2. Read para2 and get answers.1.Who is Helen? 2. Whats his opinion? 3. Whats the womans opinion? 3) Task 3. Read para3 and get answers.1. What dose everyone feel in the town? 2.Whats the writers opinion? 4) Task 4. Read para3 and fill in the blanks.Then students go through the article and finish the task as find out the suitable title. Step III. Practice 1. Teach activity 3bFirst , lead students to read the instruction to know what to do in this activity.Have students read the article again to find out the correct words to match the following meaning.Ask them to do this work individually. Later invite some students to check the answers. 2. Teach activity 3cGive students several mins to do this work. Later , invite some students to check the answers.Step IV. Consolidation Give students several mins to read the article again and fill in the blanks and retell the story in their own works. Later invite some students to retell the story, call attention to the tense and use of modal verb.Step V. SummaryIn this period, we mainly learned how to make inferences through a reading material. Through the passage, we master the use of modal verbs and developed our reading and comprehensive skills.Step VI. Homework Read 3a and review the new words and expressions weve learned today. Step VII. Blackboard design also “也”,肯定句。句中,be后面,行為動(dòng)詞前。either “也”, 否定句。句末。e.g. She is a singer, too. 她也是個(gè)歌手。 He can also sing the English song. 他也可以唱英文歌。 If you dont go to the park, he wont go there ,either. 如果你不去公園,他也不去。5.
