下面就是給大家整理的初中英語作文范文6篇,希望大家喜歡! first snow the first fall of snow is not only an event but it is a magical event. you go to bed in one kind of world and wake up to find yourself in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment, then where is it to be found? the very stealth, the eerie quietness, of the thing makes it more magical. ifall the snow fell at once in one shattering crash, awakening us in the middle of the night the event would be robbed of its wonder. but it flutters down, soundless, hour after hour while we are asleep. outside the closed curtains of the bedroom a vast transfbrmation scene is takiag place, just as if a myriad elves and brownies were at work, and we turn and yawn and stretch and know nothing about it. and then, what an extraordinary change it is! it is as if the house continent. even the inside, which has not been touched, seems different, every room appearing smaller and cosier, just as if some power were trying to turn it into a woodcutters hut or a snug logcabin. outside, where the garden was yesterday, there is now a white and glistening level, and the village beyond is no longer your own familiar cluster of roofs but a village in an old german fairy-tale. you would not be surprised to learn that all the people there, the speetacled postmistress, the cobbler, the retired school master, and the rest, had suffered a change too and had become queer elvish beings, purveyors of invisible caps and magic shoes. you yourselves do not feel quite the same people you were yesterday. how could you not when so much has been changed? there is a curious stir, a little shiver of excite-ment, troubling the house, not unlike the feeling there is abroad when a journey has to be made. the children, of course, are all excitement but even the adults hang about and talk to one another longer than usual before setting down to the days work. nobody can resist the windows. it is like being on board a ship. 韓國中秋節(jié) chusok (fall evening) is a korean harvest moon (han-gawi) festival set on the 15th day of the eighth lunar moon. chusok (韓國中秋節(jié)), also known as the korean thanksgiving or mid-autumn festival, is one of the most celebrated korean holidays. it occurs during the harvest season. thus, korean families take this time to thank their ancestors for providing them with rice and fruits. the celebration starts on the night before chusok and ends on the day after the holiday. thus, many korean families take three days off from work to get together with family and friends. the celebration starts with a family get-together at which rice cakes called songphyun (蒸糕) are served. these special rice cakes are made of rice, beans, sesame seeds, and chestnuts. then the family pays respect to ancestors by visiting their tombs and offering them rice and fruits. the koreans visit the graves of their ancestors to bow and clean the area for the coming winter. in the evening, children wear their favorite hanbok (traditional korean clothing) and dance under the bright moon in a large circle. they play games and sing songs. like the american thanksgiving, chusok is the time to celebrate the family and give thanks for their blessings. community activities include masked dance, kanggangsuwollae, an ancient circle dance, tug-of-wars and the tortoise game, kobuk-nori (烏龜游戲), in which two men dress as a tortoise and tour the villagedancing and performing for food and drink. most of all, chusok is a time to give thanks for the autumn harvest and reaffirm familial and community ties. football football is connected with the people throughout the world.it has become a part of peoples life.every day, man), football matches are going on here and there around the world. pick up a newspaper and you can learn the the results of the football matches. we enjoy playing football, watching football games after work. during the football matches of the world cup, millions of people watch the matches on tv. when their favorite teams win, they will give them three cheers. when they fail, they feel sad. we all hope our national team will be the strongest one in the world. my favonite spor football is the sport i like best.as we know, most boys like playing football, which can make boys look hand some cool.do you know why i like playing football so much?playing foolball benefits me a lot, first ican be more stranger and fit.second it can make me work with my teammate.third i can become taller and taller playing football.not only does it keep me healthy, but also it makes me feel relaxed and happy after i finish my study every day. i want to be an awesome sportman like yao ming. i like football from the botton of my heart. my favourite animal my favourite animal is tortoise. tortoise walk not fast. but i like the tortoise. why?
