Definition(1)The usage of the introductory words: that, if and whether,what,etc.A. that 的用法.當(dāng)賓語從句是陳述句是時(shí),由連詞that引導(dǎo),that在句中無意義且不做任何成分,一般可以省略。Eg.He is a student.He says 。賓語從句中不能省略that 的情況:1.當(dāng)一個(gè)謂語動詞帶兩個(gè)或兩個(gè)以上由that引導(dǎo)的賓語從句時(shí),只能省略第一個(gè)that.She said (that )she couldnt tell me and that I couldnt unde

7、rstand2.在主+謂+it (形式賓語) +賓補(bǔ)+that的句型中不省略We made it clear that we would not give in.B.當(dāng)賓語從句由一般疑問句轉(zhuǎn)化而來時(shí)由if/whether引導(dǎo)。譯為“是否”有意義但不做任何成分且不可省略。Eg.Is he a student?I ask him .(陳述句語序) 在賓語從句中,if/whether可以互換,但在以下幾種情況中if不能替換whether1.與or/or not 連用2.后面跟不定式to.3.賓從在介詞后4當(dāng)賓語從句至于句首。C特殊疑問句作賓語,引導(dǎo)詞用 what, who, whom, where,
