1、典范英語(yǔ)(7_01)教學(xué)參考Walrus Joins In教學(xué)參考的目的在于為實(shí)驗(yàn)課提供一個(gè)基本的思路和框架,幫助實(shí)驗(yàn)教師更好地把握課題理念。課題組鼓勵(lì)實(shí)驗(yàn)教師結(jié)合學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況適當(dāng)做出調(diào)整,將實(shí)驗(yàn)課上出特色。一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)1. 語(yǔ)言目標(biāo):學(xué)生能夠聽(tīng)懂并理解故事的內(nèi)容;能夠有感情地、繪聲繪色地朗讀;能夠復(fù)述故事的主要情節(jié);能夠完成與故事相關(guān)的寫作任務(wù)。2. 非語(yǔ)言目標(biāo):培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的自信心,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生了解自己,做真實(shí)的自我;幫助學(xué)生意識(shí)到換位思考、尊重他人、包容異己的必要性(參見(jiàn)討論環(huán)節(jié)中的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題)說(shuō)明:語(yǔ)言目標(biāo)由教師負(fù)責(zé)檢查,確保學(xué)生完成任務(wù),達(dá)到要求。非語(yǔ)言目標(biāo)具有開(kāi)放性,需要教師圍繞有意義的話

2、題與學(xué)生進(jìn)行真誠(chéng)交流,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣和參與熱情,讓學(xué)生在有思想、有內(nèi)容的開(kāi)放性語(yǔ)言實(shí)踐活動(dòng)中習(xí)得語(yǔ)言,樹(shù)立正確的價(jià)值觀。二、課時(shí)安排要求學(xué)生每周完成一部作品,每周安排一節(jié)或兩節(jié)實(shí)驗(yàn)課,課時(shí)放在學(xué)生讀完該部作品之后。三、課前任務(wù)要求學(xué)生每天朗讀15-20分鐘,輔以默讀。做到聽(tīng)讀結(jié)合,認(rèn)真把握和體會(huì)故事的內(nèi)容,并適當(dāng)積累好詞好句。四、課堂教學(xué)基本步驟1. 導(dǎo)入(Lead-in):?jiǎn)l(fā)學(xué)生思考提出幾個(gè)關(guān)于北極的問(wèn)題請(qǐng)學(xué)生回答,比如:Look at the picture.(給出圓形圖片,見(jiàn)課件)Where is it?(教師指向圖片中的北極部分)What is the weather like

3、there?(It is freezing cold.)Can you name some animals living there? 提出每個(gè)問(wèn)題后,先請(qǐng)學(xué)生自由回答,然后教師切入故事情景:The animals of the Arctic would play in the big nights show except Walrus. He did not have any special skill. However, He tried to join in with others. What happened when he tried to join in? Lets read a

4、most exciting part.借此進(jìn)入下面的朗讀環(huán)節(jié)。 2. 朗讀(Reading aloud):朗讀與思考相結(jié)合(1)檢查學(xué)生朗讀。朗讀開(kāi)始前提問(wèn):How did Walrus join in Whales show? What did Whale say after the show? Lets read from Page 19 to Page 24. 請(qǐng)學(xué)生分角色朗讀P19-P24中的段落,提醒學(xué)生注意錄音中Whale說(shuō)話的語(yǔ)氣及大寫詞句與其它部分錄音的不同。朗讀前,可先聽(tīng)一遍錄音,然后鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生大聲模仿錄音并朗讀。之后,可讓學(xué)生模仿Whale怒吼的語(yǔ)氣:You are a me

5、ddling, incompetent BUFFOON! You have RUINED my act. Now GET OUT OF MY SIGHT! 教師可示范,最后讓學(xué)生選出模仿得最像的學(xué)生。(注意:模仿的目的是聲情并茂地表達(dá)意思,而非簡(jiǎn)單地機(jī)械模仿。)(2)讓學(xué)生選擇自己喜歡的章節(jié)大聲朗讀。讀完后,要求學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)說(shuō)一說(shuō)喜歡的理由,教師給出反饋。這一過(guò)程中,提到的關(guān)鍵詞和短語(yǔ)可以板書(shū)到黑板上,供學(xué)生復(fù)述時(shí)參考。3. 復(fù)述(Retelling):關(guān)注內(nèi)容與語(yǔ)言表達(dá)的準(zhǔn)確性,鍛煉學(xué)生連貫表達(dá)思想的能力根據(jù)每個(gè)章節(jié)的標(biāo)題分別進(jìn)行以下提問(wèn),請(qǐng)學(xué)生回答:Chapter 1: What would

6、 the animals do for the show? What about Walrus?Chapter 2: How was every animals show going at the big night? Arctic Fox (do skating)Polar Bear (do tumbling)before Walrus joined in Fox skated forwards and backwards and sideways. She skated in perfect circles and figures of eight. She was elegant and

7、 amazing.Polar Bear rolled out across the ice like a big, white snowball. He did jumps and spins and somersaults and stood on his head.after Walrus joined inWalrus could not skate at all.He bumped into Fox, and Fox went flat on her face.Fox was very upset.Walrus could not tumble at all.He tripped up

8、 Polar Bear, who came down with a WALLOP!Polar Bear was pretty angry.Chapter 3: What was FROM BAD TO WORSE? Why? Seal (do singing)Whale (do diving)before Walrus joined in Seal sang a beautiful song. Everyone enjoyed it.Whale leaped high out of the water. Then he fell back with an enormous splash!aft

9、er Walrus joined inWalrus could not sing.He sounded like a rusty old bucket.Seal stopped singing and burst into flood of tears.Whale spouted Walrus high into the air. Everyone was watching Walrus now instead of Whale.Whale was furious and pretty scary.Chapter 4: What part did Walrus play in the show

10、? Was he good at anything?(He was taken as a clown. He was really good at being a clown.)請(qǐng)幾位學(xué)生依次簡(jiǎn)要回答上述問(wèn)題,提醒學(xué)生把體現(xiàn)重要情節(jié)的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題的答案串聯(lián)起來(lái)就是對(duì)故事內(nèi)容的復(fù)述。這個(gè)過(guò)程中,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生用自己的語(yǔ)言表達(dá),必要時(shí)可以參照故事原句。對(duì)于第2、3章節(jié)的問(wèn)題可以請(qǐng)學(xué)生按照上述方框中的設(shè)計(jì)思路,結(jié)合下一步的情節(jié)分析環(huán)節(jié)詳細(xì)描述Walrus參加表演前后的情景,提醒學(xué)生注意每個(gè)動(dòng)物的情感變化。4. 情節(jié)分析(Plot Analysis):?jiǎn)l(fā)學(xué)生思考結(jié)合以上對(duì)應(yīng)2、3章節(jié)的表格,對(duì)比Walrus參

11、加表演前后動(dòng)物們的變化。然后提問(wèn):As the story goes, which part makes you feel most excited? What happens in that part? 請(qǐng)學(xué)生自由回答,最后教師點(diǎn)明:Whale表演過(guò)后,Walrus再次受到指責(zé),所以He turned tail and fled. He hid behind a snowdrift, feeling sad and very sorry. 至此,故事達(dá)到高潮(climax)。 5. 表演(Role Play):(可選)鍛煉學(xué)生的表達(dá)能力Walrus felt very sorry. But

12、the audience didnt think he should. What happened in Chapter 4? 請(qǐng)學(xué)生分角色表演第四章,角色包括:Narrator,The audience,Walrus,F(xiàn)ox,Polar Bear,Seal,Whale。表演完后,請(qǐng)學(xué)生選出最佳小演員。教師可以從pronunciation and intonation,fluency,acting和teamwork四方面對(duì)學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)作簡(jiǎn)單點(diǎn)評(píng)。6. 討論(Discussion):培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的批判性思維能力(1)學(xué)生表演完后,就故事的主題(Be yourself)進(jìn)行提問(wèn)和討論,循序漸進(jìn),層層深入

13、。通過(guò)以下問(wèn)題引導(dǎo)學(xué)生理解故事主題(可以把以下問(wèn)題放在PPT上顯示出來(lái),讓學(xué)生分組進(jìn)行討論,問(wèn)題前的關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ)不要在PPT上顯示,此處僅供教師參考):RECALL Did the other actors like Walrus earlier in the show?(Definitely not.)RECALL What was the audiences attitude towards Walrus?(They cheered for Walruss funny performance.)IDENTIFY CAUSE AND EFFECT Why is there such a diff

14、erence?(They see things differently.)EVALUATE What can you learn from the story?(Everyone has his own strengths and weaknesses.)(2)把學(xué)生分成小組,結(jié)合故事內(nèi)容和自身經(jīng)歷討論以下問(wèn)題,然后檢查討論結(jié)果(如每個(gè)小組出一位代表發(fā)言)。How can you cooperate with others and be yourself at the same time?提醒學(xué)生進(jìn)行討論的規(guī)則是:(1)每個(gè)人都要有說(shuō)話的機(jī)會(huì);(2)別人講話時(shí)不得打斷、干擾;(3)支持并補(bǔ)充他

15、人的觀點(diǎn);(4)如果不想說(shuō)可以不說(shuō);(5)提問(wèn)要深思熟慮。鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生在該環(huán)節(jié)暢所欲言。7. 拼讀練習(xí)(Phonics Practising):培養(yǎng)拼讀意識(shí),掌握拼讀技能選取一組具有相同拼讀規(guī)律的單詞,如dare,stare,羅列在黑板上,讓學(xué)生從中找發(fā)音上的規(guī)律,然后給幾個(gè)含有同一字母組合的新單詞如flare,glare,讓學(xué)生拼讀,以此增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的拼讀意識(shí)。可從下表中選取幾組單詞聽(tīng)寫,具體數(shù)量視課上時(shí)間而定。該環(huán)節(jié)最多占用課堂時(shí)間2-3分鐘。do skatingdo tumblingdo singingdo diving lightnightsightrightshowsnowrowlowpro

16、perlyreallysurelytrulysweetlybeautifullywishblush splash splosh whooshforwardsbackwardsdarestaretailwail8. 詞匯學(xué)習(xí)(Vocabulary Development):有意義的詞匯學(xué)習(xí)鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生根據(jù)圖片和上下文語(yǔ)境(context)了解詞匯的意義。讓學(xué)生通過(guò)歸納總結(jié)與故事題材或某一意義有關(guān)的單詞鞏固對(duì)詞匯的掌握。該部分不必刻意獨(dú)立出來(lái),可融入以上其它環(huán)節(jié)中。如:請(qǐng)學(xué)生找出與表演(show)相關(guān)的單詞,可以mind map的形式呈現(xiàn)。SHOWACTORSPRIZEskatedcheeredAUDIENCEwatchedpractisedclappedbowedsangtumbled9. 布置作業(yè)(Homework)(1)寫作(任選一題) 讀完本故事,請(qǐng)學(xué)生寫一個(gè)自己喜歡的動(dòng)物的小故事,可以借鑒作品中的詞匯和描寫手法,力求具體、生動(dòng)。鼓勵(lì)多寫(如寫到100詞)。 根據(jù)故事的內(nèi)容寫一篇摘要(summary),不少于100詞。(2)讀下一部作品,注意體會(huì)作品內(nèi)容,積累生詞和好句。五、教師自我反思:培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的思考能力教師每堂課后要進(jìn)行自我反思,反思的問(wèn)題包括:1. 提問(wèn)。我問(wèn)的問(wèn)題值得討論嗎?問(wèn)了多少個(gè)問(wèn)題?什么類型的問(wèn)題?2. 討論
