形容詞和副詞比較級形式

1、英語中對人或事物進行比較主要是通過可分等級的形容詞和副詞的比較結(jié)構(gòu)來體現(xiàn)的。一、比較級和最高級的構(gòu)成1. 通常，單音節(jié)詞和部分雙音節(jié)詞在詞尾加-er構(gòu)成比較級，加-est構(gòu)成最高級。以-e結(jié)尾的詞一般加-r和-st構(gòu)成其比較級和最高級形式。以“輔音+ -y”結(jié)尾的詞，通常 變y為i，然后加-er和-est構(gòu)成其比較級和最高級形式。以一個輔音字母結(jié)尾的詞，將這 字母雙寫，再加-er和-est構(gòu)成其比較級和最高級形式。.small - smaller - smallest; large - larger - largest; heavy - heavier-heaviest; big - bigg

6、mester ( 學(xué)期 ).三、比較級用法1. 比較級一般用來表示“比更一些”這類概念，通常用一個由連詞than弓I起的狀語從句來表示和什么相比。 為了避免重復(fù)， 從句中有些成分可以省略， 而把相比的部分 突顯出來。. I) He is more concerned about others than about himself.他關(guān)心別人甚于關(guān)心他自己。II) It takes less time to go there by bus than by boat. 【注】在用比較級時，一定要注意比較對象的對應(yīng)性。為了避免重復(fù)，我們常常用 that, those, one 和 ones 這樣的代

I) It is a most touching story. (= It is a very touching story.)II) It was most (= very) stupid to act like that.2. 作主語補足語的最高級
