1、 說課稿Unit 13 Rainy Days Make Me SadGood morning, everyone. Its my great honor to share my teaching ideas with you, today Im going to say Section B of Unit 13 from the book of Grade Nine, its title is Rainy Days Make Me Sad and I will talk about it from seven parts: they are analysis of teaching mater
2、ial, analysis of students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching aids, teaching procedures and the blackboard design.Part One : Analysis of teaching material.I、 Status and function: This unit is mainly about “How do things affect you”, and it talks about peoples feelings from the aspects of c
3、olor, weather, music, advertising and products. It requests the students to master how to express their feelings when they face different things, and the section B is about how the advertising and products affect people, so students should go on learning to talk about their feelings about that.II、 T
4、eaching aims and demands:According to the new English Curriculum Standard, I design the following goals.1. The knowledge goals: Students should master the new words and expressions and understand the article.2. The ability goals: Enable the students to express their own views of pros and cons about
5、advertising.3. The emotional goals: The students should be able to have a correct understanding of advertising through the article, and let them know the advertising has two sides, we should distinguish them so that it can really help to make our life easy and convenient.III、 Teaching keys and diffi
6、culties:In this lesson, students should grasp some important words and phrases and know the pros and cons about advertising, I think these are very important. At the same time, the difficulties are talking about their own views about two sides of one thing and master the skills of reading.Part Two:
7、Analysis of students. As the ninth graders, most of them dont often use English to express themselves and communicate with others, some of them are not active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes, so I think I should give them a relaxing and interesting lesson.Part Three: Teaching met
8、hods.As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in middle school is to bring up students basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. So in this lesson, Ill mainly use the “Task-based” teaching method, its an advanced and efficient way of teaching and learning or
9、al English. Meanwhile, Ill use the communicative teaching method, cooperative teaching method and ask and answer activities to develop the students reading abilities, I think good teaching methods are keys to success.Part Four: Something about learning methods.Ill request the students to study Engli
10、sh independently, cooperatively to train their listening, speaking and reading skills.Part Five: Teaching aids.Ill use different kinds of advertising pictures and ppt.Part Six: My teaching procedures. Ill show you how I design my lesson. It has six steps:Step One: Warm-upFirstly, Ill show some pictu
11、res of advertising to the students and let them guess what the advertisements are about. Each picture is full of imagination, so I think they can arouse the students interests while they are guessing.Then Ill ask the students to see some other ads with slogans, let them know good slogans can make th
12、e ads better.Step Two: Presentation1. Ill give the students some advertisements and slogans, let them match each picture with a slogan, then check the answers.2. To make the students discuss that the products they like and dislike, and say some reasons. Discussion can help them develop their thought
13、s.3. Meanwhile, Ill ask a question: when you see the ads, how do you feel? Students can answer the question with the sentence: the advertisement makes meStep Three: Practice1. Fast reading: to make the students read the article quickly and answer the questions:Do all the people like advertising?Is e
14、very advertisement helpful?Can the advertising tell us the truth?2. Careful reading: let them read the article again very carefully then find out the advantages and disadvantages of the advertising. I think reading is a basic skill, through the practice, students can master some keys of reading. Ste
15、p Four: Summary Ill tell the students that the advertising is everywhere in our life, so we have to receive all of these information, but we should know that it has two sides , we cant be confused or misleading, and lets learn to distinguish them, so that the advertising can help to make our life ea
16、sy and convenient. Step Five: Extension Firstly, Ill show the students such a kind of pictures of public service advertising, and tell them the advertising can pass on the positive energy. Next, ask them to write some slogans for the public service advertising. Then, let them enjoy some imaginative
17、advertisements. Finally, Ill say: sometimes the advertising can gives us more than we can imagine, so we never know what the next advertisement can bring us, but please remember we should pass on the positive energy that the ads give us.Step Six: HomeworkLet the students write a short passage about the products they like and dislike
