Phonetics : Liaison Elision 省音是指在快速的日常談話中消失的某個(gè)音。它分為歷史的省音和語(yǔ)境的省音,歷史的省音是指英語(yǔ)單詞中早期存在的某個(gè)音,后來(lái)隨著社會(huì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)與語(yǔ)言的變化就消失了。這里我們主要學(xué)習(xí)和熟悉語(yǔ)境的省音。語(yǔ)境的省音指在一個(gè)詞或補(bǔ)語(yǔ)中,某個(gè)音因受毗鄰音的影響,或位于輕讀音節(jié),因而消失的現(xiàn)象。這種省音大致分為元音的省略和輔音的省略。Elision 1. 元音的省略。主要是指混元音 和非重讀音節(jié)i的省略,以及兩詞之間間的省

24、如: preferable university , 或 go a, try again . 2. 輔音的省略。輔音的省略大多出現(xiàn)在輔音音叢里如: mostly , exactly ,以及與相鄰單詞的詞界上。當(dāng)“輔音+t或d的音叢后面跟 的是一個(gè)以輔音開(kāi)頭的詞時(shí),t和d很容易被省略。如: first night helped me . 3. Contraction (縮略語(yǔ))??s略語(yǔ)是指語(yǔ)言形式縮短的過(guò)程或結(jié)果,其中也有省音 的現(xiàn)象。如: 代詞+助動(dòng)詞,Ive, youd; 或助動(dòng)詞+not,如: wont, cant。 還有其他的如: lets, Dyou, 它們代表的是let us和Do

25、you。 Part D Grammar and WritingGrammar: 不定式的各種形式 一、不定式的根本形式 不定式是由小品詞to 加上動(dòng)詞的原形構(gòu)成的一種非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞形式,不能單獨(dú)擔(dān)任謂語(yǔ),但可以作為謂語(yǔ)的組成成分。不定式還可以單獨(dú)擔(dān)任主語(yǔ)、補(bǔ)語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)、定語(yǔ)、同位語(yǔ)、狀語(yǔ)等語(yǔ)法角色。根據(jù)時(shí)態(tài)和語(yǔ)態(tài)的不同,不定式呈現(xiàn)出不同的形式。主動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài) 被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)to do to be doneto have done to have been doneto be doing to have been doing 二、不定式使用的常見(jiàn)錯(cuò)誤Jack went to the airport in a hu

26、rry only to tell that his flight had been cancelled. (tell 應(yīng)改為be told)當(dāng)不定式的邏輯主語(yǔ)是不定式所表示的動(dòng)作的對(duì)象時(shí),不定式需要用被動(dòng)式。 She likes to watch them to play basketball in the playground. (to play 應(yīng)改為play) 在感官動(dòng)詞see, watch, observe, hear, notice, feel, smell 和使役動(dòng)詞make, let, have 等后面做賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的不定式要省略to。 After work he does not

27、hing but to watch TV. (to watch 應(yīng)改為watch)當(dāng)except, but, besides 之前有行為動(dòng)詞do 時(shí),后面的不定式可以不帶to, 假設(shè)之前無(wú)行為動(dòng)詞do,那么其后的不定式要帶to。 I want a novel to be read on the train. (be read 應(yīng)改為read)當(dāng)不定式與被修飾的詞之間存在動(dòng)賓關(guān)系,而且與句子的主語(yǔ)在邏輯上有主謂關(guān)系時(shí),雖然意思是被動(dòng)但卻用主動(dòng)形式。 He found the new subject hard to be understood. (be understood 應(yīng)改為understand) 當(dāng)不定式做表語(yǔ)形容詞的狀語(yǔ),又與句中的主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)有邏輯上的動(dòng)賓關(guān)系時(shí),雖然不定式有被動(dòng)意義,但只能用主動(dòng)形式。 Writing: 1.
