Nw, adults are hping fr answers like, I want t be an astrnaut r I want t be a neursurgen, yure adults in yur imaginatins.Kids, theyre mst likely t answer

I asked my little brther, and he said, seriusly dude, Im 10, I have n idea, prbably a pr-skier, lets g get sme ice cream.See, us kids are ging t answer smething were stked n, what we think is cl, what we have eperience with, and thats typically the pp

3、site f what adults want t hear.But if yu ask a little kid, smetimes yull get the best answer, smething s simple, s bvius and really prfund. When I grw up, I want t be happy.Fr me, when I grw up, I want t cntinue t be happy like I am nw. Im stked t be here at TedE, I mean, Ive been watching Ted vides

4、 fr as lng as I can remember, but I never thught Id make it n the stage here s sn. I mean, I just became a teenager, and like mst teenage bys, I spend mst f my time wndering, hw did my rm get s messy all n its wn.Did I take a shwer tday? And the mst perpleing f all, hw d I get girls t like me? Neurs

5、ciences say that the teenage brain is pretty weird, urrte is underdevelped, but we actually have mre neurns than adults, which is why we can be s creative, and impulsive and mdy and get bummed ut.But what bums me ut is t knw that, a lt f kids tday are just wishing t be happy, t be healthy, t be safe

6、, nt bullied, and be lved fr wh they are. S it seems t me when adults say, what d yu want t be when yu grw up? They just assume that yull autmatically be happy and healthy.Well, maybe thats nt the case, g t schl, g t cllege, get a jb, get married, bm, then yull be happy, right? Yu dnt seem t make le

7、arning hw t be happy and healthy a pririty in ur schls, its separate frm schls. And fr sme kids, it desnt eists at all? But what if we didnt make it separate? What if we based educatin n the study and practice f being happy and healthy, because thats what it is, a practice, and a simple practice at

8、that?Educatin is imprtant, but why is being happy and healthy nt cnsidered educatin, I just dnt get it. S Ive been studying the science f being happy and healthy.es dwn t practicing these eight things. Eercise, diet and nutritin, time in nature, cntributin, service t thers, relatinships, recreatin,

9、relaatin and stress management, and religius r spiritual invlvement, yes, gt that ne.S these eight things cme frm Dr. Rger Walsh, he calls them Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes r TLCs fr shrt. He is a scientist that studies hw t be happy and healthy. In researching this talk, I gt a chance t ask him a

10、few questins like; d yu think that ur schls tday are making these eight TLCs a pririty? His respnse was n surprise, it was essentially n. But he did say that many peple d try t get this kind f educatin utside f the traditinal arena, thrugh reading and practices such as meditatin r yga.But what I thu

11、ght was his best respnse was that, much f educatin is riented fr better r wrse twards making a living rather than making a life.In 2019年, Sir Ken Rbinsn gave the mst ppular Ted talk f all time. Schls kill creativity. His message is that creativity is as imprtant as literacy, and we shuld treat it wi

12、th the same status.A lt f parents watched thse vides, sme f thse parents like mine cunted it as ne f the reasns they felt cnfident t pull their kids frm traditinal schl t try smething different. I realized Im part f this small, but grwing revlutin f kids wh are ging abut their educatin differently,

It freaks a lt f peple ut.Even thugh I was nly nine, when my parents pulled me ut f the schl system, I can still remember my mm being in tears when sme f her friends tld her she was crazy and it was a stupid idea.Lking back, Im thankful she didnt cave t peer pressure, and I think she is t. S, ut f the 200 millin peple that have watched Sir Ken Rbinsns talk, why arent there mre kids like me unkey is my her. I lved him because he was the wrlds best skier. But then, ne day I realized what I really lved abut Shane, he was a hacker. Nt a cmputer hacker, he
