Teaching procedures:Step 1. Lead in (1)Greeting for each other. (2)Free talk : What time do you get up?H
4、ow do you go to school every day? (By bus)(3)Watch a video about getting on the bus,then ask : Can you describe anything unusual things on the bus? How do you feel about ? ( 讓學生觀看有關(guān)公共秩序的公益廣告,以激發(fā)學生閱讀興趣)Step 2. Pre-readingAfter watching the video, lead to the word “etiquette” , get the students to gue
5、ss the meaning of “etiquette”. (禮節(jié))Then show the picture of the article , ask students to find out the impolite behavior and try to give them some suggestions.For example:Look at the picture. Where are they? What are they doing? What rules of etiquette are they being broken? List the impolite behavi
6、or and show the new words of the passage.Impolite behavior:drop littertalk loudly on the phonespit in publicsmoke in public talk and laugh loudly on the busIf you see someone doing this, would you make a polite request to each? If some one is talking loudly, what would you say?(Would you mind not ta
7、lking loudly?) Or we can say: “Would you mind keeping your voice down?”(板書)Step 3. While-readingReading strategy: Topic sentences Topic sentences usually give us a “summary”(概括),or overall meaning of each paragraph and help us understand what the paragraph is about. More details(細節(jié)) and explanation
8、come after the topic sentence. It is usually in the first and the last sentence of each paragraph.(1)Fast readingGet the students to read the whole text quickly and find out the topic sentence of each paragraph.
