美國文學(xué)大綱

1、蘇州科技學(xué)院外國語學(xué)院美國文學(xué)史課程名稱課程考試大綱一、課程性質(zhì)與特點美國文學(xué)史為“英語”和“英語（師范）”專業(yè)任意選修課，屬于考查課，共學(xué)時，學(xué)分。本課程涵蓋美國文學(xué)史上從殖民地時期、浪漫主義、現(xiàn)實主義、現(xiàn)代主義、后現(xiàn)代主義至當(dāng)代各個時期重要的文學(xué)思潮、流派及其發(fā)生的社會、文化、哲學(xué)背景以及各個時期重要作家的代表性作品。本課程所講授的知識是英語專業(yè)本科生知識結(jié)構(gòu)不可或缺的一部分，是英語專業(yè)學(xué)生人文素養(yǎng)必要的組成成分，也是英語專業(yè)八級考試“人文知識”部分考核的內(nèi)容之一。鑒于本課程學(xué)時短，內(nèi)容多，本課程的特點是以史為經(jīng)，以作家作品為緯，詳講浪漫主義、現(xiàn)實主義和現(xiàn)代主義部分，略講其它部分。二、課程

2、目標(biāo)與基本要求學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)本課程后應(yīng)該對美國文學(xué)史上殖民地時期、浪漫主義、現(xiàn)實主義、現(xiàn)代主義、后現(xiàn)代主義至當(dāng)代各個時期重要的文學(xué)思潮、流派及其發(fā)生的社會、文化、哲學(xué)背景以及各個時期重要作家的代表性作品有個宏觀的了解，能解釋相關(guān)的名詞，熟悉各個時期的主要特點和重要作家及其重要作品，并能結(jié)合文學(xué)外在與內(nèi)在因素對文學(xué)作品做出初步評論。三、教材及主要參考書教材：童明：美國文學(xué)史增訂版北京i外語教學(xué)與研究出版社，主要參考書：常耀信：美國文學(xué)簡史第二版天津：南開大學(xué)出版社，四、考核內(nèi)容與考核目標(biāo)“discoverer”ofAmerica:ChristopherColumbus,1492;AmerigoVes
