美國(guó)文學(xué)大綱

1、蘇州科技學(xué)院外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院美國(guó)文學(xué)史課程名稱課程考試大綱一、課程性質(zhì)與特點(diǎn)美國(guó)文學(xué)史為“英語(yǔ)”和“英語(yǔ)（師范）”專(zhuān)業(yè)任意選修課，屬于考查課，共學(xué)時(shí)，學(xué)分。本課程涵蓋美國(guó)文學(xué)史上從殖民地時(shí)期、浪漫主義、現(xiàn)實(shí)主義、現(xiàn)代主義、后現(xiàn)代主義至當(dāng)代各個(gè)時(shí)期重要的文學(xué)思潮、流派及其發(fā)生的社會(huì)、文化、哲學(xué)背景以及各個(gè)時(shí)期重要作家的代表性作品。本課程所講授的知識(shí)是英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)本科生知識(shí)結(jié)構(gòu)不可或缺的一部分，是英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)生人文素養(yǎng)必要的組成成分，也是英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)八級(jí)考試“人文知識(shí)”部分考核的內(nèi)容之一。鑒于本課程學(xué)時(shí)短，內(nèi)容多，本課程的特點(diǎn)是以史為經(jīng)，以作家作品為緯，詳講浪漫主義、現(xiàn)實(shí)主義和現(xiàn)代主義部分，略講其它部分。二、課程

2、目標(biāo)與基本要求學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)本課程后應(yīng)該對(duì)美國(guó)文學(xué)史上殖民地時(shí)期、浪漫主義、現(xiàn)實(shí)主義、現(xiàn)代主義、后現(xiàn)代主義至當(dāng)代各個(gè)時(shí)期重要的文學(xué)思潮、流派及其發(fā)生的社會(huì)、文化、哲學(xué)背景以及各個(gè)時(shí)期重要作家的代表性作品有個(gè)宏觀的了解，能解釋相關(guān)的名詞，熟悉各個(gè)時(shí)期的主要特點(diǎn)和重要作家及其重要作品，并能結(jié)合文學(xué)外在與內(nèi)在因素對(duì)文學(xué)作品做出初步評(píng)論。三、教材及主要參考書(shū)教材：童明：美國(guó)文學(xué)史增訂版北京i外語(yǔ)教學(xué)與研究出版社，主要參考書(shū)：常耀信：美國(guó)文學(xué)簡(jiǎn)史第二版天津：南開(kāi)大學(xué)出版社，四、考核內(nèi)容與考核目標(biāo)“discoverer”ofAmerica:ChristopherColumbus,1492;AmerigoVes
