我總是不愿意犯錯(cuò)誤或者在說(shuō)英語(yǔ)時(shí)念

錯(cuò)詞。李老師只是笑笑,你就不會(huì)感到

自己是個(gè)大笨蛋。1)always強(qiáng)調(diào)“一直是這樣”。另外,bealwaysdoing表示“老是,老……”,多半表示責(zé)難。如:Heisalwayscomplainingaboutsomething.他老是發(fā)牢騷。Hewasalwaysaskingformoney.他老是要錢。Whyareyoualways

bitingyournails?你為什么老是咬指甲?2)sothat在此處引導(dǎo)表示結(jié)果的狀語(yǔ)從句,意為“因此,這樣……就”。如:Sheisverycareful,sothatsheseldommakesamistake.她非常細(xì)心,因此她很少犯錯(cuò)。Nothingmorewasheardfromhimsothatwebegantowonderifhewasdead.再也沒(méi)有聽(tīng)到他的消息,因此我們懷疑他是否死了。3)don’tfeelcompletelystupid并不覺(jué)得

自己是個(gè)大笨蛋don’t(否定詞)和completely(表示“全部”概念的詞)放在一起表示部分否定。又如:Allisnotgoldthatglitters.=Notallthatglittersisgold.發(fā)光的并不都是金子。Everybody

wouldn’tlikeit.

=Noteverybodywouldlikeit.

并不是每個(gè)人都會(huì)喜歡它。Hedoesn’t

knoweverythingaboutit.=Heknowsnoteverythingaboutit.對(duì)此他并不完全了解情況。5.She’sverystrict—wedon’tdareto

sayawordunlesssheasksusto.

她非常嚴(yán)格,如果她不要求,我們連

一句話也不敢說(shuō)。unless相當(dāng)于if…not,意為“要不是,除非”,這句話也可以說(shuō)成:Wedon’tdaretosayawordifshedoesn’taskusto.又如:Myfathercomeshomebeforedinnereveryday,unlessthereissomethingurgenttodo.

=Myfathercomeshomebeforedinnereveryday,ifthereisnotanythingurgenttodo.

除非有急事,我父親每天晚上都在晚餐前回家。注意:unless不可用于指尚未發(fā)生的事情的結(jié)果,因而不可用于“假想的”條件句中。如:Wewouldhavehadalovelyholidayifithadn’trainedeveryday.

要不是天天下雨的話,我們的假日就過(guò)得痛快了。

此句中的if…not不可用unless來(lái)替換。又如:I’llbesorryifhedoesn’tcometotheparty.萬(wàn)一他不來(lái)參加聚會(huì),我就感到太遺憾了。此句中的if…not不可用unless來(lái)替換。此外,unless還可用于引出補(bǔ)充前言的話,即是對(duì)剛說(shuō)過(guò)的話想到要加些補(bǔ)充。如:Shehasn’tgotanyhobbies—
