虛擬現(xiàn)實技術（virtualreality）是一種可以創(chuàng)建和體驗虛擬世界的計算機技術。綜合了：計算機圖形學（ComputerGraphicsTechnology）仿真技術（SimulationTechnology）多媒體技術（MultimediaTechnology）人工智能技術（ArtificialIntelligenceTechnology）計算機網(wǎng)絡技術（ComputerNetworkTechnology）虛擬現(xiàn)實技術模擬人的視覺、聽覺、觸覺等感覺（sense）器官功能，使人能夠沉浸在計算機生成的虛擬境界中，并能夠通過語言、手勢等自然的方式與之進行實時交互。WhatisVirtualReality虛擬現(xiàn)實技術（virtualrealitImagination指虛擬現(xiàn)實技術具有廣闊的可想象空間。

可拓寬人類認知范圍，可再現(xiàn)真實環(huán)境，也可以隨意構想客觀不存在的環(huán)境。Interaction指用戶實時地對虛擬空間的對象進行操作和反饋。
