青春意趣之花。王昌齡的《采蓮曲二首》（其二）刻繪田田荷葉之中、艷艷荷花之下采蓮少女的美觀形象，意境美好，情調(diào)歡快?！昂扇~羅裙一色裁，芙蓉向臉兩邊開。亂入池中看不見，聞歌始覺有人來。”一、二兩句寫詩人佇立注視，人花一體，難以辨識的情景。羅裙伸張，綠如荷葉，宛見采蓮少女亭亭玉立之姿；

笑臉相迎，艷若荷花，如睹采蓮少女歡聲笑語之態(tài)。荷葉羅裙，人面荷花，渾然一體，相映成趣，乍一看去，幾乎辨識不清孰為荷葉，孰為羅裙，哪是荷花，哪是臉龐。這些采蓮女子簡直就成了美觀大自然的一片面，或者說竟是荷花精靈！三、四兩句寫詩人眼花繚亂之際，走神錯意之時的意外察覺，表示青春少女的無限活力。采蓮少女與綠荷紅蓮融為一體，猛然不見蹤影，詩人踟躕悵惘，詫異不已?？墒?，沒過多久，蓮塘之中歌聲四起，喧嚷非凡，詩人這才恍然大悟，原來那些“看不見”的采蓮女子依舊在這綠葉紅花的荷塘之中，仿佛是和詩人這樣的觀望者開了個玩笑。這群江南女子啊，聰明美觀，天真活潑，出沒綠波紅花之中，歌詠勞動，歌詠生活，彌漫著青春活力。從她們身上，我們看到了一種如荷飄香，如花美觀的青春風采。

相思愁苦之花。孟郊的《怨詩》以癡心傻氣的想象來抒發(fā)女仆人公愁苦深重的相思之情?！霸囨c君淚，兩處滴池水?？慈≤饺鼗?，今年為誰死！”兩地相思的閑愁苦恨是看不見，摸不著的，也是沒大小，沒體積，不具形象的東西，測定起來很不輕易，可是詩中女仆人公卻異想天開：試把我們兩個人的眼淚，分別滴在荷花池中，看一看今夏美觀的荷花被誰的淚水浸泡而死。鮮明，在她心目中看來，誰滴的淚多，誰的淚更苦澀，荷花就將為誰而“死”，那么，誰的相思之情更深，自然也就測定出來了。比試滴淚，滴淚成池，淚淹芙蓉，見證愛情，此等癡心透骨的情語非性情中人不能設想。出污泥而不染的“芙蓉花”成了男女仆人公相思離情的穩(wěn)當見證。李商隱的《板橋曉別》化用典故，抒寫情人的離別苦情?！盎赝叱锹鋾院?，長亭窗戶壓微波。水仙欲上鯉魚去，一夜芙蓉紅淚多。”一、二兩句遠眺近觀，點明離別的時間、地點和朦朧奇幻的環(huán)境空氣。三、四兩句分別化用典故寫行者和送者?！八伞本浒涤们俑呤隆！读邢蓚鳌飞险f，琴高是戰(zhàn)國時趙人，行神仙道術，曾乘赤鯉來，留月余復入水而去，詩人此處把遠行之人比著乘鯉凌波而去的水仙，化實為虛，奇幻天真?！凹t淚”句暗用薛靈蕓事。據(jù)《拾遺記》記載，魏文帝美人薛靈蕓離別父母登車上路，用玉唾壺承淚，壺呈紅色，到了京師壺中淚凝如血，詩人此處將送行者（女仆人公）暗喻為水中芙蓉，以表現(xiàn)了她的紅潤美艷；

又由紅色芙蓉進而想象出它的淚也理應是“紅淚”。這樣，一朵艷艷芙蓉勾畫出了俏麗佳人泣血神傷的情景。
