SinceIfirststeepedonmyplatform,IhavedecidedtobeagoodandsuccessfulEnglishteacher.However,inmyclass,whenIgavelessonstomystudents,filledwithenthusiasmandpassion,someofthestudentsalwayslookedsotiredandsleepy.WhenIspentmuchofmytimepreparingformylessons,tryingmybesttomakemylessonsvividandinteresting,theteachingeffectandfeedbackwasnotthatIhadexpected.Moreover,whenIwaswillingandeagertoteachthemallthatI’velearned,theirabilitiesofEnglishwerestillmediocre.Iwaslookingforthereasons.AndIwasalwaysaskingmyself:AmIgoodandsuccessful?HowcanIbegoodandsuccessful?

Therewereofcoursemanyplicatedreasonsandfactors.Andinmyopinion,whetherIamgoodornot,includesmanyfactorssuchasmyknowledge,mypersonality,myquality,mymethods,teachingartandsoon.Absolutely,tobeagoodandsuccessfulEnglishteacherisnotaneasyjob.IneedtohaveanexcellentmandofEnglishmyselftomakemystudentsappreciatemeandenjoymyclass.Ineedtohavetheabilitiestoprovideafortableandrelaxingatmosphereandenvironmentforthestudents’study.Ihavetoadoptefficientandvariousteachingmethodstomystudents’level.Ineedtodevelopmyteachingartandskills.Ishouldmakefullofeachstudent’sabilityandalwaysencouragethemtogivethemconfidence.Therefore,“Liveandlearn”and“nevertoooldtolearn”havebeenthemottosI’veadopted.Imustimprovemyownabilitiesandskillsofteaching,tokeepupwiththerapiddevelopmentofourinformationageandsociety.
