如何閱讀小說的大意(BigPicture)

小說的基本要素包括時(shí)間，地點(diǎn)，人物，大事等等。

小說通常敘述故事，或描繪場(chǎng)景、事物或人物。過程中通常布滿示意。在閱讀過程中，既要留意小說的細(xì)節(jié)描述，也要理解文章的大意(Bigpicture)。同時(shí)，還要關(guān)注如何通過語言和文學(xué)技巧傳達(dá)信息。

在閱讀小說篇章時(shí)，要把握好文本的結(jié)構(gòu)，段落主旨，以及段落關(guān)系。一些文學(xué)篇章側(cè)重?cái)⑹?，narrative,即講故事，敘述大事進(jìn)展過程。還有一些篇章側(cè)重描述，descriptive,側(cè)重通過細(xì)節(jié)描述重要的人物，場(chǎng)合和事物。其他的大部分文章中，敘述和描述相結(jié)合，相互補(bǔ)充和支持。在一篇敘述文中，描述性的語言能夠補(bǔ)充重要人物的細(xì)節(jié)描述。而在一篇描述性文章中，敘述性的文字能夠關(guān)心刻畫主題。

新SAT節(jié)選的文章，文章的大意進(jìn)展(bigpicture)包括兩種，一種是敘述故事沖突，沖突。包括大事起因，進(jìn)展和結(jié)尾。另一種是對(duì)比，對(duì)比人物或場(chǎng)景。以下舉例說明如何閱讀得出小說的大意：
