mostabundant,peoplebelievedtherewasanever-lastingsupplyandkilledthembythethousands,

Bytheclosingdecadesofthe19thcentury,thehardwoodforestswherepassengerpigeonsnestedhad

beendamagedbyAmerican'sneedforwood,whichscattered(驅(qū)散)theflocksandforcedthebirdsto
