1.Scope

1.1General—Thisspeci?cationestablishesminimumper-formanceandsafetyrequirementsforallventilatorsandventilatorcircuitsintendedforusewithadult,child,orinfantpatientsincriticalcarewithinthehospitalandintroducedforsaleaftertheacceptancedateofthisspeci?cation,exceptasnotedbelow.De?nitions,performancerequirements,testmeth-ods,andrationaleareincluded.Severalde?nitionshavebeenincludedinSection
