1.Copiesofthepassageforeachstudentordisplayedonascreen.

2.Audioorvideoclipsofvirtualchoirperformances(e.g.,EricWhitacre's"LuxAurumque").

3.Internetaccessforresearchandviewingadditionalvirtualchoirexamples.

4.Paperandwritingutensilsforreflectionactivities.

LessonOutline:

1.Introduction(15minutes):

Beginbyaskingstudentsiftheyhaveeverparticipatedinachoirorensemblebefore,eitherinpersonorvirtually.Discusstheirexperiencesandwhattheyenjoyaboutsinging.

Introducetheconceptofvirtualchoirsusingthepassageasareference.Definekeytermssuchas"virtualchoir"and"globalmunity."

2.ReadingandDiscussion(20minutes):

Distributecopiesofthepassageordisplayitonascreen.
