This,these,that,those成為指示代詞,用來(lái)指示或標(biāo)示人或事物,其中,this和that

為單數(shù),these和those為復(fù)數(shù)。另外,this和these用來(lái)指離自己較近的人或物,that

和those用來(lái)指離自己較遠(yuǎn)的人或物。例如:

Thesearemybooks,andthosearehisbooks.

當(dāng)指示代詞所指的事物已確定時(shí),后面的指示代詞指人時(shí)用he,she,they來(lái)代替,指物

時(shí)用it和they來(lái)代替,如:

ontheleft在左邊,ontheright在右邊,是表示方位的介詞短語(yǔ),不僅可以用來(lái)描述人
