wasunequivocalabouttheimportanceofreformandopening-upwhenhespokeatChinaDaily’sVisionChinaeventinLondoninSeptember.“China’sreformandopening-upinitiatedin1978wasoneofthemostimportanteventsinthe20thcentury,”hesaid.“ItnotonlyledtothetransformationofChina,butthebeginningofthetransformationoftheworld.NoonecouldhaveimaginedwhereChinawouldbe40yearslater,”headded.
