Unit 2 Ill help to clean up the city park.Section A 1 (1a-2d)一、教學目標:1.語言知識目標:1)能掌握以下單詞:clean up, city, cheer, cheer up, give out, volunteer, notice, used to, lonely,能掌握以下句型: You could help to clean up the city parks. We should listen to them and care for them.2)能了解以下語法: 情態(tài)動詞could, should的用法;用should或could提出建議并對別人的建議作出評價。如何表達主動提供幫助。2.情感態(tài)度價值觀目標:在授課過程中滲透助人就是助己,助人收獲快樂的情感目標,使學生在談論如何為別人提供幫助的對話中能意識到盡己所能,幫助他人,樂于奉獻是一種良好的品德,培養(yǎng)學生為他人著想,熱愛公益事業(yè),樂于助人的優(yōu)良品質。二、教學重難點1.教學重點:1)掌握這些短語動詞的構成和用法:clean up, city, cheer, cheer up, give out, volunteer, notice, used to, lonely2)學會提供幫助的基本句型:Id like to work outside.Ill help clean the city park.You could give out food at a food bank.2.教學難點:學會提供幫助的基本句型三、教學過程Step 1 Warming up1.播放學生志愿者進行義務幫助別人的活動視頻,通過詢問他們以下問題來引導學生們了解社會上一些的志愿們進行的活動。T: Who are they?S:Theyre volunteers. They usually volunteer to help others.T: How could we help people?S1: We could clean up the parksS2: We could help sick people in the hospital.S3: We could help plant trees.Step 2 New words1. cityn.城市e.g. The library is in the north of the city.圖書館在城市的北部。2. noticen.公告牌;通告;布告e.g. Please read the list on the notice board.請讀公告板上的名單。3. sign n.標志;信號e.g. Look around, we could see no sign of life.環(huán)顧四圍,我們看不出一點生命的跡象。4. volunteerv.義務勞動,自愿做 volunteer to do sth.義務自愿做某事e.g. Many people volunteer to work on the farm.很多人志愿到農場去工作。5. clean up打掃;清除e.g. The students take turns to clean up their classroom. 學生們輪流打掃教室。6. give out 分發(fā);散發(fā)e.g. Please help me give out these test papers.請幫我將這些試卷發(fā)下去。7. cheer v.歡呼;喝彩e.g. Cheer up. Look at the ways you could help others. Then list other ways.2. Ss discuss with their partners and write the ways one could help others: Help to plant trees by the river. Help to clean up the city park. Visit the old people in the old peoples home. Help young kids to learn English.Step 4Listening1. T: Tell Ss to read the sentences in the chart. Make sure they know the meaning of the sentences.2. 1b. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the ways the boy and girl could help others._ The girl could visit the sick kids in the hospital to cheer them up._ The boy could give out food at the food bank._ The girl could volunteer in an after-school study program to teach kids._ The boy could help to clean up the city parks.(Key: 3, 2, 4, 1)Step 5Pair work1. Let Ss read the conversation in the picture. 2.1c. Use the information in the chart of 1b to make other conversations. A: I hope to work outside. B: You could help to clean up the city parks. 3. Let some pairs act out their conversations. Step 6Listening1.2a:T: A group of students are planning aCityParkClean-up Day. Listen and check () the things they are going to do to tell people about it.1. Look at the pictures in2a. Discuss the things they are going to do.2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check the pictures.3. Play the recording again to check the answers.Answers: b, c, e2. 2b:1. Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know what to do.2. Play the recording for the Ss to write the correct words in the blanks.1. Ss act the conversation in pairs. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. Step 8Readingand Role-play1. Read the conversations and answer the two questions: Wheres Helen going to work this summer? _ What did Tom do to help the old people? _Answers:Shes going to work in an old peoples home.Reading the newspaper or just talking to the old people.2. Read the conversation after the teacher.3. Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.Step 9 Language points1. They told me stories about the past and how things used to be.used to do sth.過去常常做某事;表示過去習慣性、經常性的動作或狀態(tài),暗指現(xiàn)在已經不存在。used無人稱和時態(tài)的變化。e.g. I used to go to theYouthCenter. But I have no time now. 我過去經常去青少年中心,但現(xiàn)在我沒有時間了。Grandparents used to tell us stories when we were very young.在我們小時候祖父母常給我們講故事聽。2. Yeah, a lot of old people are lonely.lonelyadj.孤獨的;寂寞的指精神上感覺孤獨、寂寞。e.g. The old man feels lonely, so he raises a dog.那名老人覺得很孤獨,因此他養(yǎng)了一只狗。3. We need to come up with a plan for the City Park Clean-up Day.need用作實義動詞,有“必要”、“必需”之意,有人稱、數和時態(tài)的變化,可以接名詞、代詞、動名詞或帶to的動詞不定式作賓語。e.g. The man needs an English dictionary when he works.這個人在工作時需要一本英語詞典。 Do you need to see him yourself?你必需親自見他嗎?4. clean up意為“打掃;清理”。但如果在clean和up間加個連字符號,它就是名詞了,意為“掃除”。e.g. You must give your classroom a good clean-up.你必須對教室進行徹底地打掃。come up with提出(觀點,看法)。e.g. He has come up with a great idea. 他想出了一個絕好的辦法。 I came up with a better plan than that.我提供了一個比那還好的計劃。Step 10 Exercises.
