Get students to master the use of some important daily used expressions, like reading a newspaper, making soup, using the computer and so on.3. Get students to learn to make a phone call using the target language.教學內(nèi)容1. New words: reading a newspaper, male soup, wash the dishes, go to the movies2. Sentence structures: What are you doing? Im watching TV. Its kind of boring. Do you want to.? 重點難點1. To talk about what people are doing with the new expressions fluently 2. To be aware of the present progressive tense (be+v-ing)學情分析Students are in their first year of middle school; they have learnt some wh-questions and have mastered some daily used expressions. Warming up-listening to a song 1. T and Ss greet each other.2. T uses a conversation between her and her niece to introduce a song “what are you doing?”, as well as the topic of this period “I am watching TV”. The lyrics are like this: what are you doing? Im watching TV. Im watching TV.what are you doing?Im cooking. Cooking, cooking, cooking.what are you doing? Im eating, eating. En yummywhat are you doing? Im washing my hands.3. Ss listen to this song and sing along with it if possible. Step2. Leading in-free talking(what are you doing) T shows the pictures from the song one by one and asks students “what are you doing?” Ss answer the questions based on the pictures and the song. Step 3. New words presentation and practice.1. T shows a picture of her sister to introduce the new words “newspaper, make soup”, like this:T: This is a picture of my sister. What is she doing?Ss: She is reading a newspaper.T: Yes, you are so clever. She is reading a newspaper. 2. Then likewise, T uses other pictures of her friends and neighbors to introduce and practice new words.3. Ss finish task 1a and check the answers together. Step4.listening and talking.1. T: Three of my friends live in the same apartment as I do. They are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary. Now listen to the tape and find out what they are doing and write the numbers from 1a.2. Ss listen to the tape and finish task 1b. Then T invites Ss to share their answers. 3. Ss listen to the tape again and repeat. 4. Ss read the listening material together and find out how to ask about what people are doing. What are you doing? What is he doing? What is she doing? What are they doing? Im/hes/shes/they are v-ing5. Pair works. Ss work with their partner to talk about what people are doing in picture 1a, like this:A: Look at apartment d (公寓d), Whats he doing?B: Hes cleaning.A: Look at apartment h(公寓h), What are they doing?B: Theyre listening to a CD.Step5. Further listening and imitation.1. T introduces two other friends Steve and Jack. And they are talking on the phone. Ask Ss why they are talking.Ss: Maybe they are boring. They want to play tighter2. Ss listen to the tape and answer “what is Jack/Steve doing?”3. Invite Ss to share the answers. Then listen again and filling the blanks.Jack: Hello, Steve.Steve: Hi, Jack.Jack: What_ you_, Steve?Steve: Im _. What about you?Jack: Im_ , but its kind of _. Steve: Yeah, my TV show is also not very _. Do you want to_ the movies?Jack: That sounds good.4. Ss read the conversation by roles to check the answers. 5. Ss listen and repeat to find out how to make a phone with friends and invite them to spend time with you. (what are you doing?/ what about you? /Do you want to ?)6. Ss work in pair to make a phone call like Steve and Jack. Then invite Ss to play in the front of the classroom. Step1 通過歌曲導入提高學生的學習興趣,且通過對歌曲的吟唱及圖片的協(xié)助對目標語言有不直觀的感受。Step2是對step1 的補充練習,通過對歌曲的模仿,簡單的使用目標語言,加強學生對目標語言的印象。Step3 教師通過和自己相關(guān)的圖片及問題引入新單詞,提高學生的學習興趣,同時對目標語言進行簡單練習。 Step4 通過聽前的導入理解,聽中的聽力任務及聽后的口語練習,加強學生對目標語言的聽說及理解能力。Step5 通過進一步的聽力練習,訓練學生獲取信息的能力同時拓寬學生對目標語言的運用范圍。最后通過打電話邀請同伴的實戰(zhàn)練習,鞏固學生對目標原因的運用。 作業(yè)1. Write down the activities you have learnt in English. 總結(jié)所學過的活動,用英語寫出來。2. Call your best friend and ask what he/she is doing and make a dialogue. 在家里打個電話詢問
