Do you like travelling? (Explain the meaning of travelling)Ss: Yes. / No.T: Travelling is fun. When we are going on a trip, we should pack our things Write pack sth. on the Bb and explain it. Teach Ss the meaning and the pronunciation.T: Now Eddie is going on a trip. Lets look at the pictures one by one.Show Picture 1. T acts as Hobo. Ask, “Hey, Eddie. Where are you going?” Ss: Im going on a trip. (Help them answer.)Practice again.Show Picture 2. T: You know, Eddie is going on a trip alone. But the trip must be fun. So Hobo asks, “It must be fun. Can I join you?”Ss: Yes. Let me take you out for a few days. Help them. Nodding your head to tell them the answer means Yes. Write the phrases take sb out on the Bb.Practice again.Show Picture 3. Ask and answer with present continues tense.Ss: What are you doing, Hobo?T: Im packing. I want to bring everything with me. Im so excited. Write the phrase bring sth. with sb. on the BbShow Picture 4. Show the differences between Picture 2 and Picture 4. Try to get Ss thoughts. Present the dialogue.Read the dialogue after the tape.Practice the dialogue in pairs.Then act out the comic conversation.Answer the following questions to check the understanding.a. Is Eddie happy in the first picture?b. Does Hobo want to go, too?c. How does Hobo feel?d. Why does Eddie Feel happy in the last picture?Discuss a question in groups of four. What should people take when they go on holiday? Ss work in pairs. Step II PresentationThis activity presents the new vocabulary in this period.T: We know Eddie is going on a trip. Where is he going? What tourist attractions do you know? Write tourist attractions on the Bb and explain a tourist attraction is a place that a lot of tourists go toT: Each country has its tourist attractions. For example,(Show a picture of the Great Wall)In China, there is the Great Wall. (Write the Great Wall on the Bb.)Let the Ss tell more tourist attractions in foreign countries and write some of them on the Bb, like the Yellow Mount, the Eiffel Tower, the Summer Palace, the pyramids. Step III PracticeThis activity provides guided practice using the key vocabulary.Show the pictures of other five tourist attractions on the Page 21. Teach the new words and pronunciation. Then have Ss match the tourist attractions with the countries.the Little Mermaid Denmark the Leaning Tower of Pisa Italy Mount Fuji Japan the Great Wall China the Statue of Liberty America the Tower Bridge BritainLead them to read the names of places and countries.Show the picture of Mount Fuji again.T: Its Mount Fuji in Japan. What can people do there?S1: They can climb the mountains.S2: They can go skiing.Do the gestures of taking photos to give the students some hints and write take photos on the BbS3: They can take some photos.Show a beautiful picture of the Mount Fuji and do the gesture of seeing the beautiful viewT: I can see the beautiful view. Write see the beautiful view on the Bb.Teach the phrase see the beautiful view. Step IV Pair workAfter reading the new words fluently, let Ss write the correct names in the blanks in their books.Show the picture of Mount Fuji and the dialogue.A: Whats this?B: Its Mount Fuji in Japan.A: What can people do there?B: They can climb mountains/ take photos.Make dialogues about other five pictures in pairs.Step V Post-taskPractice the dialogue before the whole class.St
