We want to join the chess club.(want 之后跟動(dòng)詞用不定式,“參加”社團(tuán)、興趣小組等組織時(shí)用join,“參加”某項(xiàng)活動(dòng)用join in或take part in.)1.1.2 Ability goals 能力目標(biāo) 1.1.2.1 通過課本提供的對(duì)話學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生能夠在給定的話題背景下使用目標(biāo)語言 “What can you do?” and “What club do you want to join?”。1.1.2.2 通過對(duì)話學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)會(huì)使用一些重點(diǎn)單詞和短語。1.1.2.3 在教師啟發(fā)下,通過小組合作學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生能夠總結(jié)梳理出情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can的用法和實(shí)意動(dòng)詞want后跟動(dòng)詞不定式的用法。1.1.3 Emotional goals 情感目標(biāo)1.1.3.1 通過對(duì)第一課時(shí)話題的復(fù)習(xí)和本課時(shí)對(duì)話的學(xué)習(xí),讓學(xué)生認(rèn)識(shí)到學(xué)校各種社團(tuán)活動(dòng)的重要性。 1.1.3.2 鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生積極參加各種學(xué)校社團(tuán)活動(dòng)以展示自己的才能。1.1.3.3 鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生發(fā)展自己的愛好來豐富學(xué)校生活。1.2 Important and difficult teaching points 教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)1.2.1 學(xué)生在教師引導(dǎo)和同伴互助下能夠總結(jié)梳理出情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can的用法。1.2.2 學(xué)生能夠運(yùn)用目標(biāo)句型來表達(dá)自己的想法。1.2.3 學(xué)生能夠仿照課本范例寫出自己的活動(dòng)招募海報(bào)。2.0 Student analysis學(xué)情分析2.1 Fundamental State基本情況通過本單元第一課時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生基本上激活了已有的語言知識(shí),對(duì)本單元的話題(Joining a club)已經(jīng)有所感知,對(duì)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can的基本用法有了初步的認(rèn)識(shí);詞匯的學(xué)習(xí)和基礎(chǔ)句型的聽說活動(dòng),為本課時(shí)的對(duì)話練習(xí)和語法現(xiàn)象的歸納,進(jìn)行了很好的鋪墊。同時(shí),通過視頻觀看和教師的激勵(lì),學(xué)生的自信心(I believe I can.)和學(xué)習(xí)動(dòng)機(jī)增強(qiáng)了。2.2 Knowledge Reserve知識(shí)儲(chǔ)備 第一課時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí),圍繞本單元話題Joining a club,呈現(xiàn)了相關(guān)詞匯如sing, swim, dance, draw, play chess等動(dòng)詞和the music club, the art club等名詞性短語,對(duì)本單元核心句型I want to join the .club.和 I can.進(jìn)行了聽和說的練習(xí),為本節(jié)課的對(duì)話表演和語法歸納積累了語言基礎(chǔ)。 2.3 Class Data本班實(shí)際 通過7年級(jí)上學(xué)期的小組建設(shè)和小組合作學(xué)習(xí)的訓(xùn)練,本班學(xué)生有比較明確的小組合作學(xué)習(xí)的意識(shí),小組內(nèi)開展活動(dòng)有分工合作,能傾聽別人意見,敢于用英語來表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn)。雖然本課時(shí)的語言現(xiàn)象學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)本單元之前基本上沒有接觸,但是涉及的話題與學(xué)生學(xué)校生活密切相關(guān)(基本上所有學(xué)校都有人文、科學(xué)、體育藝術(shù)之類的學(xué)生非常感興趣的社團(tuán)活動(dòng)),因此,完成本課時(shí)任務(wù)是應(yīng)該沒有太大的困難的。教師可結(jié)合課堂實(shí)際情況,指導(dǎo)學(xué)生有感情地模仿對(duì)話語音語調(diào),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生歸納相關(guān)的語法現(xiàn)象,從而實(shí)現(xiàn)方法的掌握和能力的提升。3.0 Teaching methods教法建議3.1 Thematic teaching method主題教學(xué)法3.2 Self-directed learning method自主學(xué)習(xí)法3.3 Discussion method討論法 4.0 教學(xué)輔助 blackboard and chalk, computer , projector5.0 Teaching procedures 教學(xué)進(jìn)程5.1 Leading-in and warming-up 引入與激趣活動(dòng)5.1.1 In order to lead in the main topic, T can get Ss to listen to an English song I believe I can fly. Then ask:Q1. How do you feel when you listen to this song? Q2. What can you learn from English songs?Q3. Do you like listening to English songs? Can you sing a little?5.1.2 Show some pictures of different school clubs (basketball club, ping pong club, art club, music club, swim club ) and get Ss to talk about them. Ask Ss questions like: T: What are they doing in this picture? Ss: Theyre playing basketball. T: Do you like to play basketball?S1: Yes, I do.T: Do you want to join the basketball club?S1: Yes. Then I can often play basketball.5.1.3 Get the Ss to talk about the pictures in pairs. They may follow the conversation between T and S1.5.2 Role-play the conversation對(duì)話表演5.2.1 Before role-playing5.2.1.1Play the recording of 2d on P2 for Ss to listen for the main idea. Before playing the recording, T writes the following questions on the Bb.Q1. What are Bob and Jane talking about? (Theyre talking about joining school clubs.)Q2. What sports can Bob play? (He can play soccer.)5.2.1.2 Get Ss to read the conversation and answer more questions. This time, T neednt write the questions on the Bb.Q1. Whats Jane good at doing?Q2. Does Jane like drawing? Q3. What club might she join?Check the answers with the whole class. T may give necessary explanations at this stage.5.2.2 Listening and imitatingPlay the recording 2 or 3 times for Ss to listen and imitate.5.2.3 Role-playing5.2.3.1 Get Ss to work in pairs to get ready to act out the conversation in 2d. While Ss are preparing for this, T may walk around to offer necessary help.5.2.3.2 Some Ss may have problems with the pronunciations of some of the new words. Others may not be “role-playing the conversation”. They might just be “reading” or “reciting” the conversation. Then T may show them how to “role-play” a conversation: they need to look at the other person while speaking to him / her.5.2.3.3 Choose some pairs to act out the conversation and ask the other Ss to tell which pair is the best 5.2.4 After role-playing After pairs of Ss rope-play the conversation, T may put the following passage on the Bb or on the screen and get Ss to fill in the blanks according to the conversation.Jane and Bob are talking about joining different clubs. Bob can _ soccer, _ he can _ the soccer club. Jane is good at _ _, so she can join the story telling club. And she also likes to_. Maybe she can join _ clubs, the story telling club and the art club.5.3 New points interpretation 新知感悟(貼標(biāo)簽)5.3.1 Discovering chunks 語塊發(fā)現(xiàn)Get Ss to read the conversation once again, and underline all the useful chunks in it. 1) What club do you want to join?2) I want to join a sports club.3) Youre very good at telling stories.4) You can join the story telling club.5) I like to draw, too.6) Lets join now.5.3.2 Analyzing chunks 語塊分析5.3.2.1 I want to join a sports club. 我想加入一個(gè)體育運(yùn)動(dòng)的社團(tuán)。動(dòng)詞want之后可以接名詞,如:I want an apple. 接動(dòng)詞時(shí)常用動(dòng)詞不定式。如:I want to have an apple. “參加”社團(tuán)、興趣小組等組織或者一群人時(shí)用join. 如:Do you want to join us? “參加”某項(xiàng)活動(dòng)時(shí)通常用join in或take part in. 如:Mary wants to take part in/join in the school show.5.3.2.2. Youre very good at telling stories. 你很會(huì)講故事。be good at后接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)詞的-ing形式等名詞性短語,表示“擅長(zhǎng)于某個(gè)方面”或“擅長(zhǎng)做某事”,可與do well in等結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)換。本句可以替換為You do very well in telling stories.又如:Mike plays basketball well.=Mike is good at playing basketball.=Mike does well in playing basketball.=Mike is a good basketball player.“講故事”用tell stories,“說英語”用speak English,“與人交談”talk to/with sb.,后接“說的具體內(nèi)容時(shí)”用say sth.。5.3.3 Using chunks 語塊運(yùn)用 Guide Ss to know the meanings of the following sentences and make similar new sentences of their own. And get some Ss to share their original sentences. 5.3.3.1What club do you want to join? Ss work in groups to study the sentences in Grammar Focus on P3. T may leave some questions for them to discuss:1) 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can后的動(dòng)詞形式有什么特點(diǎn)?有第三人稱單數(shù)嗎?2) 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can本身隨人稱變化而變化嗎?3) 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can 的否定形式是什么樣的?一般疑問句形式又是什么樣的?需要借助do或does這樣的助動(dòng)詞嗎?T may get Ss from different groups to tell what they know about the use of the modal verb can, and give necessary explanations.T may explain in Chinese like this:1) 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can后接動(dòng)詞原形(不能用第三人稱單數(shù)形式,不能用to+動(dòng)詞原形或者-ing形式);2) 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can沒有人稱和數(shù)的變化,不能在它后面加“-s”,它也沒有-ing形式;3) 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can的意思是“能夠,可以”,表示能力或允許,它的否定形式是cant或cannot,否定句和疑問句都不需要加do, does之類的助動(dòng)詞。5.3.4.2 Ss read and try to learn the sentences by heart.5.3.4.3 Ss do 3a and 3b on their own.
