What was he doing when the rainstorm came?He was reading in the library when the rainstorm came. 4. What was Ben doing when it began to rain heavily?When it began to rain, Ben was helping his mom make dinner. 5. What was Jenny doing while Linda was sleeping?While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework語法:過去進行時。教學難點:when, while引導的時間狀語從句中的過去時和過去進行時學習策略:通過文章標題和插圖獲取文章的大概意思,學生如不能流利用以上語法講故事,但一定也要能聽懂別人用英語講故事。教具:多媒體 錄音機課時:1課時Section B 1 (1a-1d)Step1Lead-in reading Ask two students to sing a Jay Chous song and let them make up several sentences use when and while eg:A was singing Jay Chous song when B came in. Finally ask students to read a passage abou Jay ChouStep 2 Presentation 1a Think of a time when you were late for or couldnt go to an event. Teacher say: Da mao is our good frinds,but he has a little brother .His name is san mao ,He s crazy. He wasnt at the school basketball competition yesterday ,he was beating his dog when the competition started . Ask Ss to think of an event and answer these questions What was the event? What was the reason why you were late or couldnt go? Tell your partner the story. Let students read their stories to others.Step3 Listening What happened to the girl? Lets listen. 1b. Listen and write short answers to the questions. 1. What event happened at the school yesterday?2. Who missed the event?3. Which team won at the event? 1c Listen again.
