25、nual13 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE Preventive maintenance, when performed on a regular baSis, can prevent instrument breakdown and may improve the reliability of the oscilloscope The Severity of environment to which this instrument is subjected will determine the frequency of mainte nance A convenient ti
26、me to perform preventive maintenance is preceding recalibration of the inStrumentDisassembly Remove the 4 screws in the top cover of the instrumentGently Separate the top cover from the inStrument and lay aside,Most of the internal parts of the inStrument are now accessible if access to the front of
27、 the circuit boardS are necessary,remove the knobs from the external control shafts on the boardRemove the two screws Securing the Side panel to the InputCircuit board and remove the inStrument Side panel (See 5DISASSEMBLY ILLUSTRATION)Cleaning The instrUment should be cleaned as often as operating
28、conditions require accumulation of dirt in the inStrument cancause component breakdown, The covers provide protection against dust in the interiorof the inStrument Loose dust accumulated on these covers canbe removed with a soft cloth or small brush Dirt that remains can be removed with a soft cloth
