Then how to write an effective letter about discussing insurance clauses. In this part , I will lead students to learn the main

4、types of insurance and some important sentences to express insurance I mainly exploit task-based method, project-driven teaching and specimen- shown methods to lead students to learn how to write an effective letter about insurance. By practice, students are able to write an effective writing accord

Generally speaking, there are three kinds of basic risks under the ocean Marine Cargo Clauses of PICC中國人民保險公司項下的遠(yuǎn)洋運輸保險條款有三個基本險別：(1) FPA（Free from Particular Average）平安險average:海損,海損的公平分擔(dān),商船支付的雜費;(2) WA or WPA（With Average or W

14、ith Particular Average）水漬險(3) All Risks（AR） 綜合險 一切險一般附加險（General Additional Risk)偷竊、提貨不著險: TPND（Theft, Pilferage & Non-delivery 淡水雨淋險: Fresh and/or Rain Water Damage Risk滲漏險: Leakage Risk短量險: Shortage Risk混雜、沾污險: Intermixture & Contamination Risks 碰損、破碎險: Clash & Breakage Risks 串味險:Taint of Odor Ris

16、保的范圍包括由于自然災(zāi)害和意外事故所導(dǎo)致的貨物的全部損失。水漬險（WPA 或 WA）：除包括平安險的各項責(zé)任外，還負(fù)責(zé)被保險貨物由于惡劣天氣所造成的部分損失。水漬險=平安險+自然災(zāi)害所造成的部分損失一切險（All Risks): 則在平安險和水漬險的基礎(chǔ)上，還負(fù)責(zé)由于一般外來原因所致的全部或部分損失。一切險=水漬險+一般外來原因造成的損失。注：只有在辦理三種基本險別任何一種的情況下，方可辦理附加險。key words and phrases1. insurance n. 保險 insure vt. 給.保險 確保 insure作動詞時后可跟人 、險別或機(jī)構(gòu)作賓語，但跟不同的介詞時，所表示的意義

17、不同：e.g. Please insure FPA on this shipment.請為這批貨投保平安險。Every company insures itself against loss or damage to its property.每個公司都為自己保險以防財產(chǎn)的損失或損害。We have insured the shipment against All Risks at the rate of 0.3% for 110% of the invoice value with PICC. 我們已為這批貨物向中國人民保險公司按發(fā)票金額110%投保一切險，保險費率為0.3%。過去分詞ins

18、ured作定語時構(gòu)成的部分常用詞組：insured amount = insurance amount ：保（險）額insured cargo/goods 投保的貨物insured 還可作名詞, 前面加定冠詞，即 the insured, 作“被保險人”解。 insurer 保險業(yè)者, 保險公司 the insured: 被保險人insurance broker 保險經(jīng)紀(jì)人insurance agent 保險代理人insurance policy 保險單（大保單）insurance certificate 保險憑證（小保單）insurance amount/value 保額insurance

19、premium 保險費premium rate 保險費率insurance claim 保險索賠insurance coverage 保險范圍underwriter 保險商 、保險業(yè)者；保險公司，承諾支付者；擔(dān)保人Difficult words, phrases and difficult sentences 1) take up : 開始從事， 開始討論如何處理2) the terms of insurance 保險條款 have a deal on CIF price 以到岸價做成一筆交易 premium 保險費 All our export goods sold on CIF terms

20、 are insured with PICC. 我們以到岸價售出的所有出口產(chǎn)品都是在中國人民保險公司投的保險。3) take out :取出，拿出 take out insurance : 辦理保險4) We hope you can cover the packing breakage risk for us.我們希望你們能加上包裝破損險。5) So, please insure the consignment against WPA and Packing Breakage Risk for 150% of invoice value.那么，請為這單貨按照發(fā)票金額的150%投保水漬險和包裝破損險6) We only can insure goods for 110% of the invoice value. For 150%, the extra premium will be born by you. 我們只能為這單貨投保發(fā)票金額的110%，對于150%，額外的保險費由你方承擔(dān)。（bear: bore born/borne 承擔(dān)）Step 3
