否定句的譯法

1、英語否定形式的譯法每種語言都有其肯定形式和否定形式，英語和漢語也不例外。由于兩種語言的特點(diǎn)、習(xí)慣不同，表達(dá)肯定和 否定的方式也不盡相同，英漢兩種語言用來表達(dá)否定概念的詞匯、語法結(jié)構(gòu)、語言邏輯等方面都有很大差異，這 就要求譯者在理解與翻譯時(shí)注意，切勿望文生義。本節(jié)主要論述如何正確理解否定的句法手段或詞匯手段，確定否定對象和范圍，并簡要闡述部分否定、全部 否定、幾乎否定、雙重否定、形式否定、意義否定、帶前綴否定、否定的轉(zhuǎn)移、常見否定短語等的翻譯方法。1、否定對象和范圍在漢語中，否定詞一般都直接放在被否定詞語前面，而在英語里，否定詞not有時(shí)不一定放在被否定詞語前面，而是放在謂語動詞前，因而確定否定

2、對象和范圍又一定難度。1 ）否定對象例 1. The plane did not_ land in good condition.這架飛機(jī)著陸時(shí)狀況不太好。（英語原文否定詞 not否定的是謂語，而漢語譯文否定的是補(bǔ)語in good condition ）例 2. Mathematics and the military are not new acquaintances.數(shù)學(xué)和軍方絕不是初次相識。（英語原文否定詞 not否定的是定語new,而漢語譯文否定的卻是狀語“初次”）例 3. The Nazis had not instantly withdrawn from Africa or Sic

24、ch. 我們對居里夫人在科學(xué)研究方面的所取得的成就不勝欽佩。7、意義上的否定 英語中有些詞和詞組的意義上包含有否定語氣，但從字面上看不像否定詞。1）動詞fail 失敗，不成，缺乏； lake 缺乏，不足； deny 否認(rèn)，拒絕； ignore 忽視，不理睬 exclude 排除，拒絕； refuse 拒絕； overlook 忽略，忽視； miss 失敗錯(cuò)過 The experiment failed of success. 實(shí)驗(yàn)沒有成功。The value of loss in this equation is so small that we can overlook it. 在此方程中，
