12、yle.4.人物簡介：Profile圓瑛（1878-1953）法號宏悟，別號韜光，又號一吼堂主人，福建省古田縣平湖端上村人，幼讀詩書，聰明過人，有“神童”之稱，是中國近現(xiàn)代佛教界領(lǐng)袖人物。民國時期，他創(chuàng)立了中國佛教會，并連續(xù)擔(dān)任八屆中國佛教會主席。新中國成立后，中國佛教協(xié)會成立，他再次被推選為首任會長，中國佛教界領(lǐng)袖地位長達(dá)40年之久，其影響力綿延百余年。圓瑛大師佛學(xué)造詣高深，為發(fā)展佛教事業(yè)、支援抗日戰(zhàn)爭、熱心社會慈善事業(yè)、文化教育和維護(hù)世界和平等作出了不可磨滅的貢獻(xiàn)。YuanYing , with the religious name “Hongwu” and a title “Taogua

14、and continuously hold the post of Chairman for eight terms. China Buddhism Association was founded again after the New China and he was elected to be the first Chairman. He had been in the seat of leader of Buddhism for 40years and his clout stretched nearly one hundred years.
